No electricity, no cell or internet coverage - perfect! Beautiful people, thanks Yuli and Tiga and all!! Fantastic snorkeling and swimming. Food is so delicious and plentiful, all locally sourced and varies each day, many delightful small touches like the afternoon snacks. And it was such fun to hang out and play games with the local people from Bomba village who work at Poya Lisa in the evenings. Truly my happy place in the world and I can't wait to go back!

I stayed at the beach front cottages, which have a shared bathroom, but you get your own hut on the beach. A mosquito net, a little closet, windows and a small balcony with chairs. The perfect little get away that is simple and all you need on a tiny island! Shared bathrooms have a bucket shower, western toilet and sink. There are more expensive cottages that have their own bathroom. All your meals are included- you won't go hungry! There is a ton of snorkeling all around, with corals. There is no diving at this place, but a 2 minute boat ride (or you can swim!) To the resort across the way is all diving. There is a wreck just 50m or so from Poyalisa. There are seahorses in the corals right outside Poyalisa, and you can enjoy two beaches with sun and shade. I was pretty sick from the ferry ride from Gorontalo, so I spent a lot of time resting and recovering- otherwise this place has a quieter vibe, but the staff is all very helpful and friendly. They will do all they can to help you with onward travel. Poyalisa is close to Bomba which is basically the most south of the Togeans. If you want to dive (Una Una and Karidiri are more known for diving) it's better to stay somewhere else, as it will cost you 500 IDR to take a charter elsewhere. Consider staying here as a first stop from Ampana, or your last stop heading down towards Ampana.

il y a 3 minutes Nice cottage with very friendly people, Julie cook very goods meals ans is very helpfull. But very important advise : don't trust on Hercules boat as a means of transportation to reach or leave this cottage. We can not trust the captain. He is not a trusted person. I was stuck at Poya Lisa and missed my plane at Ampana because of him. The day before and the morning when he came from Ampana to go to Wakai and he stopped at the Poya Lisa I asked him twice not to forget to take me in the afternoon when he came back from Wakai to Ampana. I said it was very important because I had a plane ticket from Ampana for the day after. He told me not to worry and he would not forget me. finally I saw him pass Poya Lisa at high speed, I made him big signs, he surely saw me and he never stopped. This is how we consider tourists on the Togians Islands. the locals seem nice, they like to talk and laugh with you but in fact they do not care about you, they do not care about anything. You could die in front of them that they would never get up from their chairs it would tire them too much. It's a shame, I spent two very beautiful weeks on the Togians but this guy definitely disgusted me of everyone.

We arrived here exhausted after a two-day trekking in the jungle of Lore-Lindu National Park and 6-hour drive to get to Ampana. And Poyalisa has been the dream place where to stop for 5 days and recharge our batteries, before starting again our journey: a private island with two little beaches, surrounded by corals. The staff is simply fantastic, and make the guests feel like a big family. P.S. Do not expect luxury accommodations: no western style toilet, no light after midnight. Do not expect to choose your dinner from a menù. Just relax and you will receive every day a new type of super-tasty grilled fish

i would like to give 4 stars for this place but i think i should give 2 stars on their management. okay this is a criticism for building a better direction again. I like this place very much . the beach on the island is small but is on two sides . $ 20/night/person- lodging price and includes breakfast, lunch, coffee and tea and snacks, and dinner. the workers are friendly enough to be friendly. so it makes me feel like home and wants to stay longer in this place.when night coming on the island there will be the sound of an electric generator machine so it was quite uncomfortable our room was facing directly with the genetator engine so it was quite loud.fortunately this machine they turn off at 11 pm so we can sleep good. We are understand that. Me and my husband planning to stay for 15 days there until one night at mithnight the generator engine was still on. we began to get restless. at 1 am the engine still sounds. then my husband woke up and went to the poyalisa office to ask what was wrong. And we found an old man from france watching tv show. then we asking to him about how long the machine will continue to burn. Because this is really late and the macine very noisy casually he said ohhh still 2 hours  and just dont care about other guess in this island. So when i ask to the workers they are afraid to him the france guy so we asking a bit story about him from the workers. So the france guy is every years they always come and stay in poya lisa 3 times every years and stay for 2 months there. They are long time costumer in poya lisa so the owner in this poya lisa island is very good friend of this couple france. And difficult for the stuff to said NO to them. So he can do anythings what hes wants. And do not care about other guess in this island. And dont care to the stuff who working in that island also. I got one story from the stuff about that arogant france couple about how they trick the workers to service them like a big boss.. The wake up late in day like 11 a clock and asking for breakfast in the kitchen in poyalisa island with special food only for them and different then another guess. And the workers have to give them a lemon everyday if they dont have lemon they going to destroy the plate on the table and get angry and if the workers say NO to them the france couple they going to call to the owner and make the owner angry to the Workers. Another things the Workers telling me they cant get rest because have to wait for the france couple have late lunch and late dinner all the time like very late make the workers cant have rest. One more the workers telling me why they scare to the france couple is because the owner dont want get bad review on tripadvisor from the france couple. So well.. you got nice review from me. I just hopes the owner can read this because This is crazy really bad management. I think the owner need to make strong rule to all the guess. First make rule what time open breakfast and what time breakfast close so you make your workers happy and easy and make rule for your generator macine or maybe try to make the machine less noisy. I like your place poya lisa. Sure i will come again but hopes you make your management better. Or you will be lose your bussiness just because of one your special guess can destroy everything. Or maybe another wangker come who feel confortable with your service. Nice service but important to say No sometimes. Your worker is really nice i like them very much also. Thats all from me.

The beach are so beautiful, but there had been a 'strange' with the management and the staff, cause I found them to be rather unhelpful, superficial, unfair and even dishonest at times (for speedboat schedule, toilet paper, breakfast, expired food and boat trip) They were also trying to get money out of people as best as possible, while not being open to you. That was happened with the some other guests who try to catch up their flight, then they couldn't make it. Somehow, when you arranged the boat or other things with the staff they smiled at you but nothing would happen. In the end of the day I moved out, tried to escape from the horrible atmosphere. Now as I experienced all got down very low.

Poya Lisa is just a paradise on earth. Tiny island with its own, special athmosphere. People are very nice and they really want you to enjoy your time. As there is no wifi or even phone signal people spend a lot if time togerher playing cards, dice or just chatting. I love that place and will keep going back again and again.

This Island is beautifully situated just off Bomba island with a lovely sheltered beach on its eastern side. Snorkelling around the coast is alright, and just opposite on Bomba 'main island' there is Bomba Divers, which offer great diving, friendly and experienced guides (finnish/indonesian). Like everywhere in the Togeans PL offer full pension with meals mostly based on rice, fish and fruit. If I recall that correctly I payed 175'000 ppn for a mid-range budget hut (the cheapest was 150'000, but unavailable). I stayed for four days. Now the island itself is quite small and basically all of it is covered with bungalows, so it might actually feel jammed at times. If your budget allows for chartering a boat (for many understandably it doesn't) or like me you are are into open water swimming you can check out some spots and little islands around or even the closest village - otherwise it won't be easy to retreat or go out and explore. Apparently some time in recent years there had been a change in management and since then afai was told (two independent local sources) some complaints by locals and tourists had arisen (mostly corresponding to what I experienced). Now my problem really is with the management and the staff, cause I found them to be rather unhelpful, superficial and even dishonest at times (= they were trying to get money out of people as best as possible, while not being open to you). So if there was a problem or a question they smiled at you, but nothing would happen. Usually when all is fine, everyone will be around and happy, but if anything's faulty they'll duck away or put you off. If you arranged something with somebody there, you will have to be after it yourself, ask and 'push'. Now as I experienced all of the above myself and/or happening to other residents, this one situation irritated me most: When I left with some other people to Wakai they agreed (asked for it two times) to drop me off at Sunset Beach for a settled price. This isn't even much of a detour from Wakai anyway, but still the driver puppy-eyedly asked/then insisted me to "help him" (a.k.a. give him extra money!). I know many Indonesians are not so straightforward with asking for money directly, but not only disregarding our agreement and then being so sanctimonious about it really pissed me off.

Situated on a beautiful rocky tiny island, only 40 minutes by speedboat (9am and 1pm) from Ampana. The bungalows on the rocks are best value. Beautiful view from the balcony and stunning sunsets. The rooms are basic, but with mosquito nets, western toilet and a fresh water tap (no shower, bucket works just fine). The food is delicious and the snorkelling trips are excellent value for money. 300.000 per boat (if you share it is amazingly cheap) for a full day tour, including delicous bbq fish lunch on a deserted beach. In comparison.. At other resorts in the Togeans you pay 100.000 per person for a half day tour.. The staff is friendly, but speak limited English. The 2 beaches are beautiful, but difficult to swim because of the grass, rocks and corals.. You can get in the water from the pier. All in all we stayed at different places in the Togeans and found this place the best value for money (200.000 p.p. incl 3 meals and delicious afternoon snack). They dont charge extra for single travellers in low season. For reservations. Search for telephone number and make a call or send whatsapp message (they dont respond quickly via e-mail)
