Staying here was worth it just for the wonderful views of the surrounding countryside (no one else seems to mention this). The restaurant where breakfast and dinner is served has beautiful panoramic views - the best we encountered at hotels during 14 days of cycling in Burgundy. The building itself is a little under inspiring so to me it made...

Superb Peaceful location high on top of hill overlooking the vines and villages below. The 19 bedroom hotel has recently been tastefully refurbished in a bright modern manner. The service is relaxed, friendly and welcomingly casual in keeping with its upmarket boutique character. All rooms have views with the first floor offering slightly better views from their small balconies. Ground...

Rarely rate 5 stars, but this impeccable establishment deserves them. Both the hotel and the restaurant were refined and service solicitous without being intrusive. In addition, the owner offers ULM tours which I wished I could have taken advantage of. Next time!

The place is in a lovely location in Burgundy, but this is where the feel good factor ends. Overall we were surprised at how basic the rooms were for the money and the lack of air conditioning for an area that can experience 40 degree temperatures. But these are small problems compared to the way we were treated. After waiting...

We spent one night here, and it was a wonderful stay. The rooms were comfortable and modern, a bit small, but just the right size, and the restaurant is fabulous. Now this place is located in the middle of nowhere in the Burgundy countryside, so if you're looking for somewhere close to town/civilization, it's probably not the one for you....

We spent a nice weekend at this recently renovated hotel in the Bourgogne countryside. The interior was very modern, with many lamps surprisingly hailing from Ikea. Rooms are small, but bathrooms good size. Our room had a nice balcony with two (plastic) chairs. There is a nice pool with deckchairs and rooms are equipped with bathrobes. We dined once and...

Well, not too old naturally, but with character, charm and warmth.. We had been staying in this hotel for about 5 times, before the 'renovation'. Here renovation is another word for destruction - of all charm, of intimacy and atmosphere. However, it is the client who pays through the room price and the dinner.. The rooms are plasterboard where they...

Returning after some years, we thought this hotel, which we had greatly enjoyed on previous visits, had sadly declined. The food in the restaurant, once a major attraction, was tired and over complex (as well as over priced). The mark-ups on the wine list were shamelessly excessive, especially as most of the lower priced bottles were sold out. The fittings...

Good but fairly overpriced hotel in beautiful surroundings (vineyards, medieval village of Brancion). The recently renovated rooms are very clean but a bit on the small side. They all come with a little balcony overlooking the vineyards. We found the beds and the shower to be very comfortable. Food and wines are good to great but not cheap. Expect to...

We revisited this hotel (last there in 2009) to find they had carried out a major renovation. It's true - the rooms needed a makeover but some of the old charm has gone. The prices have increased but fabulous views over the vineyards. The welcome was a little cold and the restaurant service intermittent. Overall a good spot though when...
