It was a nice surprise to arrive at Hotel Belen after reading so many mixed reviews regarding this property. We stayed 2 nights at this lovely hotel, one night before our trip to Antofagasta and one night after that. Superior room was spacious, very comfortable beds, good hot shower, cable tv and wifi (albeit very slow). Buffet breakfast was adequate... More

Hotel was fine, room nice and the breakfast was good- no English spoken. The town itself is forgettable but dinner at the hotel was fine. Other places in town did not open until after 9 pm. We could not get the AC to work so check that our before you take the room.

So, Belèn is a SUPERnoisy town - all night long. Don't ask me why, but that's how it is even during the week and "Hotel Belén" is in the middle of the town. I have to say: my night was awful. Other than that, the site is nice and appealing, and the building is interesting (obviously a lot of money... More

My room was the first one on the second level. It was smallish, but well designed with one double bed and a single bed. I was especially impressed with the nicely decorated bathroom which had a stone sink and petroglyphs on the walls. Breakfast was lots of carbs, no proteins, but yogurt was available. There was good wi-fi in the... More

After a very long drive along Ruta 40 we arrived in Belen, there really are no other options in the area and the hotel appears to rely on this. Whilst its clean it does need some work and is looking quite shabby in parts, I am sure it was very nice when it initially opened but now it just looks... More

As mentioned else, the design of the hotel is interesting and nicely done, much better than was otherwise expected in the region. The room was comfortable and clean - perhaps some extra pillows or cushions for the bed wouldn't go astray, but that is a small thing. We really liked the addition of the museum to the hotel, although the... More
