We stayed only one night but we regret to spend more days in Rancho Encantado! The rooms were very clean, spectacular view, around a lot of trees and beautiful landscape, the restaurant has an excellent chef, the food was awesome, gorgeous chef!! congratulations!! the restaurant is next to the lagoon, so you can have a beautiful breakfast with a great...

Wow! We had a bungalow right by the lake-shore and it was something unforgettable! The rooms were big, clean and modern, which makes you feel comfortable. Perfect showers as the water pressure is optimal. We had a gorgeous time in Rancho Encantado! The girl at the Front Desk spoke very good English which made things easy, she was also very...

My wife and I were planning to spend a weekend at Bacalar and as the vacations planning manager of the house I looked on tripadvisor for the best places and tips, our first choice was Akalki, but they were full, so our second choice was Rancho Encantado, but I'm happy that we had the chance to stay here, Nelly at...

Stayed in a casita jardin (waterfront with ceiling fan), no need for AC. The room/casita was gorgeous and super comfortable, the grounds very attractive and well maintained. Lake Bacalar is superb, and the boat excursion is well worth it. The food, specially the fish tacos, is excellent. The hotel is a bit isolated from the town of Bacalar. The only...

I have been in Rancho Encantado many times. The owner wants to have more rooms so it´s loosing the "encantado" Growing too much for my taste and too fast. I used to love their breakfast. Now it is only buffet when they are crowded. They are always crowded. I think they don`t deserve the ECO-hotel title anymore :(

We have visited Rancho encantado in March 2013. Unfortunately we were sick so we could not enjoy swimming in the lake, but the views were wonderful nevertheless. Due to our special circumstances we got a free upgrade to an AC room and this made our stay much more comfortable, especially since we had a sick child with us and our...

We have never heard of the place before, but we were there for a wedding, and the hotel and place were far beyond our expectations, the staff of the hotel were very friendly and helpful, the rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. It's location in front of the lagoon is extraordinary. Food is excellent (service a little slow). Rancho...

Beautiful location right on the lagoon. We had a very charming and spacious cabin in the garden. Our cabin was very spacious and clean with a slightly rustic flair in a really good way. Also it had 2 ceiling fans and a/c to keep cool. The gardens/grounds are immaculately maintained and we loved the sound of all the birds in...

Lovely, helpfull staff, good food, free kayaking, best location just at the shore of the lake. We love this style of hotel with the little bungalows giving us a feeling of more privacy. One cabana (#4)was a bit smelly (from wastewater?), but maybe it was only unfortunate, because the first night there was no breeze, the second night was better....

2 hour drive south of Tulum - excellent road - there is a 60km long and 3-4 km wide deep blue fresh water lake, and on the shore is this lovely hotel. With solid, well appointed cabins, some in the garden and others right on the water. Good restaurant and a great spot to relax, with a pier and canoes...
