We visited 7 hotels in the Yucatan peninsula and this was my favourite. Our cabin was right on the lagoon and my son and I managed a pre breakfast swim. You need water proof shoes, and the lagoon is warm and perfect for swimming. The Kayak's and pool and included and excellent. The included breakfast was excellent, as is the...

Stayed at the cabins with a lake view #32 and #33, would definitely recommend for the convenience of having quick access to the lake. The restaurant has great dinner options tried the Cochinita Pibil, fish tacos, and Vege Pizza. The downside is that the rooms are pretty hot, the ceiling fans sometimes aren't enough and the pool/jacuzzi area closes at...

An excellent deal in Bacalar. Nice accommodations, great views, and surprisingly good kitchen. Ideal for families, rooms are large, albeit a bit dated but all works well. A nice choice for being out of the beaten path, but close enough to larger towns.

We ate here twice during our three days here. It is easy to find, as they have it marked well with signs. There is a security guard to let you in the gate, but that is no problem. The location is awesome, right on the lake. They have a pretty big menu, and we'll give you a menu in English...

The Rancho Encantado offers a unique location and environment on the shore of Bacalar Lagoon. Excellent accommodations encompass large and tasteful rooms, bathroom, own terrace and nice toiletries. The hotel offers great surroundings, with hammocks in several places as well as provides complimentary kayaks for exploring the lagoon. Note that the rooms have no TV set and internet access is...

We stayed here for one night with the purpose of re-charging our "batteries" on our yucatan roadtrip. The hotel staff is super friendly and the facilities are perfect for relaxing. Our room even had an awesome jacuzzi! 👍 The food was great and the view of the lagoon is amazing. We could easily have stayed for several days.

This was our second trip to Bacalar and staying at Rancho Encantado. It did not disappoint! In fact, they had expanded and we got to stay in the new villas right on the lake! I never want to leave this place because it is so magical. Lake Bacalar is amazing! We had our own yard, hammock, deck and deck out...
