We just got back from 4 nights at the Pehaltun Villa Casita. We hated to leave. We had been traveling through the Yucatan, and this was our last stop. We were so pleased with our casita. Ginny was traveling, but we were taken care of very well by Steve and Lisa. The check in and instructions were helpful, and they...

We stayed in Palapa for few nights. Beautiful setting with an amazing view. The house had everything you need to feel comfortable, was clean and fairly insect free ( huge bonus for me ). Really enjoyed the deck, kayaks and the clear blue water. Lovely host, Ginny who is super lovely and very helpful. The only thing I'd change is weather...

We have been visiting Ginny's place (Pehaltun villas) since 2014. We have stayed in the cabana, palapa and in June in the casita. it is our home away from home in Bacalar. The villas are charming and cozy, have A/C, kitchenettes with all the kitchen essential you need, gallons of bottled water are provided for free, TV and DVD player...

I absolutely love Pehaltun Villas. My stay there was wonderful. I had not written a review but after reading the dog bite review I had to write mine. I was there during the time the guest was bitten. I am confused by her review as she told me and my girlfriend it was her fault. That she stepped over the...

This is the perfect place to relax. We love it at Pehaltun! ACCOMMODATION The accommodation was clean and had the basics. Free Wi-Fi is a plus and the endless DVD library and book library in Ginny's house is a nice bonus. Beds were comfortable and it was bliss to fall asleep to the sounds of the crickets and wake up...

Planning on spending a nice week-end at Pehaltun and when I stepped out of my car, I was bitten on my right leg by a big black dog. The owner has 9 dogs that roam free on her property. The wound was deep and large. Skin hanging and blood everywhere. One of the other guests helped me clean the big...

Ginny B, Owner at Pehaltun Villas, responded to this review

This review was written by a woman who visited our property as a friend of a friend, not a paying guest. There are several inaccuracies in it: She was not bitten when she stepped out of her car. When she got out, one of my 70lb labs was lying on the path with a chew toy. Instead of walking around...

I just returned from my 3rd visit to this wonderful place. Each visit it keeps getting better and better. Our cabana was so lovely and so clean and filled with everyone we could possibly need for our stay. And what we didn't have, Ginny (the amazing owner) shared with us. We spend hours sitting on the dock or floating the...

We spent the last 2 nts of our 15 day Costa Maya trip at Pehaltun. The cabana was so nice. Could have spent a week there. 2 beautiful sunrises. We actually got lunch at La Playita and then ordered take out too, so we could have dinner back at our gorgeous place. Oh....and then there is Ginny. We love Ginny....

Long overdue review. We were supposed to stay 4 nights at Pehaltun in November 2013. Couldn't get there from Tulum because striking teachers had route 307 shut down to all traffic. Called Ginny and let her know. Contacted her again when we got back home to tell her the whole story. We had paid for our stay in advance. Certainly...
