We stayed in the Cabana for 4 nights - literally one step away from the beautiful lake. The Cabana had everything we needed, except for WiFi for half of our stay (Ginny did warn us about that though). We enjoyed relaxing on the terrace, kayaking and exploring the area. A beautiful cenote - Cenote Azul - is right across town....

We recently returned home from another visit to Pehaltun. We had a wonderful week! As before, the Casita and Palapa made a perfect base for travel in the area or simply relaxing on the deck. We found the property to have everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. Ginny is a wealth of information and great to visit with....

We stayed in the palapa for ten days with two kids. It was a great place to relax, and a base to explore the surrounding areas which were amazing. Our host was professional, discreet, and made us feel at home.

Let me tell you the three reasons why you want to come to these gem: Ginny, Ginny and Ginny. Other than that, this awesome place is located in the most spectacular point of the lagoon, where the sounds of birds wakes you up slowly, only to open your eyes and seeing this amazing lagoon in front of you, just waiting...

We came to visit with our two children of five and six and our small dog that she was kind enough to allow us to bring. The whole place is epic, Ginny is awesome and she gave us coffee and smoothies free of charge. Violeta is sweet and helpful and the dogs are cute and friendly. We will definitely return...

Although the wonderful owner Ginny was very generous with her time and car to run us into town for shopping and the cenote, it would probably be best to have a car here. The cabanas are about five klicks from town, which is a good thing, as the lake is much more user friendly in terms of depth, clarity and...

Staying at Ginny’s wonderful casita was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The casita is beautiful, well equipped and is situated close to the waterfront of the beautiful lagoon. Ginny herself is a warm and welcoming host and has a lot of knowledge about the area. We really loved staying and chatting with her and can warmly recommend...

what an incredible place. my wife and i went for a quiet getaway and rest off the beaten path and away from the garish noisy bustle of Cancun, Playa, and Tulum. Pehaltun exceeded our expectations. Located on an enormous crystal clear warm fresh water lake aptly named the Lake of the Rainbows, we stayed in the cabana, the furthest of...

Where to start and how to describe a "private Paradise" that does this lovely place justice? To begin with, Pehaltun is a beautiful piece of property with a stunning view of the turquoise waters of the Bacalar Lagoon. The sunrises are spectacular and the grounds tropical, green and luscious. There is a private dock that is covered and invites readers,...

This is a really difficult review to write, because clearly Ginny the owner tries really, really hard to make this place nice. It's just that the efforts aren't always successful. The location is wonderful, secluded, right on the lake. There's a palapa right out of a travel brochure from paradise, kayaks to use free of charge, drinking water included, kitchenette,...

This was a difficult situation. We have replaced the water heater, and the air conditioner, but I am offended that the guest did not mention that as soon as I realized that the air conditioner was not working properly. I offered him another place to stay and he declined. The problem with the ants? Well, this is the tropical jungle....
