This property exceeds all the positive reviews that have been posted! Four of us recently had the privilege of staying for five days and exploring the surrounding area. We were in the casita and the palapa. Both were clean and contained everything needed for our stay. The property is beautiful, secure and well maintained. The dock and lake are absolutely...

This is a VERY special place for VERY special people. Run by an EXCEPTIONALLY SPECIAL woman. All the excellent reviews are true. The lake tour and daily massages are a must---so inexpensive you would be foolish to deny yourself. The best food in the province is to be found next door at Rancho Encanto (nice ambience, low prices). Staying at...

We are just wrapping up a week in the most amazing place. We stayed in the palapa villa, a loft style abode with full kitchen, walk in shower, and the most incredible views. Ginny, the visionary owner of Pehaltun Villas, extends herself above and beyond for her guests. She arranged for on site massages, only $25/hour! Boat tours, which showcase...

It's hard to start a 'review' of a place like Pehaltun. First of all, Ginny is someone you'd be privileged to meet anywhere, anytime...but getting to meet her in this beautiful setting is like the icing on my metaphorical traveling cake. I won't go on because all the reviews on here have the compliments covered - suffice to say she's...

We planned a trip to Chetumal but were unable to find any place that would take us with our dog. We lucked into this little piece of paradise by the lake. Not only was our dog welcome she had many playmates. Ginny is a wonderful hostess that shared her many experiences with us. We would gladly return. The lake is...

My boyfriend and I recently returned from trekking around the Yucatan and Chiapas. Laguna Bacalar was our second stop after Tulum and having the opportunity to stay with Ginny in the Pehaltun Villas contributed to making our trip an experience of a lifetime. For starters, we hadn't initially planned on staying at Pehaltun. I had sent emails to other local...

This is one of the few places where I'd like to kick up my feet, bring a typewriter and work on "that" novel been that I've been thinking about. I could stay here for a long time, and it wouldn't get old. Ginny is an amazing host with all the local knowledge you could ask for. We stayed in the...
