Customer service here was great. They even helped me book a massage in my room. I am giving this place an average rating because they over charged me. I saw online my room was 80$usd but paid 100$usd.

We booked the room with AC because of the hot and humid weather, price was over 1000 pesos but at first instance the room looked ok. But than the trouble started, AC wasn't working properly and during the night you have to shut it down because of the terrible noice its making. Till late in the night a Mexican family...

I recently visited my home away from home, butI have been going to Hotel Laguna ever since I was a young chef working in Belize over twenty years ago. Even though they have changed owenership over the last few years, it still is an enchanting, lovely place. If peace, quiet, tranquility, and a wonderful view is your need, then Hotel...

It's an excellent location, right in front of the lagoon. Amazing colors. The hotel is just ok Beds are not awesome. Very basic rooms. Kind of pricy! I had a good time. But if you are looking for a hotel because of the commodities , look somewhere else

As other reviewers have commented, this place was probably top notch in the 1970s - but feels and looks like it hasn't been refurbished since then. Arguably the best views in Bacalar, they really are outstanding, and our room was laguna-facing, which was a real treat. The room itself was shabby ... things peeling and scuffed, the bathroom was small...

The lagoon is amazing, but this place needs a lot of work, it was probably amazing when built in1972. There are very few other choices for hotels in Bacalar, would make a better day trip from a near by place.

Very old hotel and very bad sound isolation. Can cearly hear others' talking on the balcony. I would stay in Chetumal instead if I visit the area again. Anyway, very nice view of Laguna Bacalar.

Reasonable price with a terrific view. The hotel is older but will always have a timelss view of the the beatiful colors of Lake Bacalar. It's a good spring board location to see the village of Bacalar, Chetumal and the ruins lining 186. The restaurant is adequate and very affordable and close enough to Cenote Azul and Bacalar town so...

The Lagoon is the most beautiful water I have ever seen. But, the hotel is very old with no personality. If you don't like insects all over the place this is not the hotel for you. We went on a boat tour which made me forget about the accommodations. The Hotels front desk associates and etc, were very nice, cordial...

Read the reviews and the place sounded OK. We rented a car and got the hell out of God forsaken Cancun...we pulled into Bacalar before dark and couldn't believe our good luck..this hotel is a little jewel perched high-a-top a lake that must have a half-a-dozen shades of blue on its warm, crystal clear waters...this place is old-school Mexico...neat little...
