We were greeted by grandfather and grandmother who couldn't speak English but were well informed that the son was coming. A good reception - and an incredible helpfulness with luggage and check-in.
Yes yes - we had to drive to get lunch and dinner but in return the terraces and the pool were quiet and quiet and without many people, as the place does not have many rooms.
The atmosphere was amazing, familiar and authentic.
Grandma was responsible for the breakfast that was made with love. Among other things, homemade jam and “lunt”. There was the opportunity to buy own-produced red wine and bubbles at reasonable prices.

The farewell was like saying goodbye to the family.

I got to stay in the house 2 nights during my business trip. The building is very charming and full history. The landlady was really nice, rooms great and spacious, lovely breakfast and incredible view overlooking the countryside.

Since 1999 we travel to this nice family runner hotel above Canelli, usually in November or Mai, its always a pleasure to arrive there and feel welcomed from the heart of the owners. Its a simple place, just what you need, but so relaxing, very quiet, clean and very secure location. Ask for what ever you like to have, and the owner will do it or organize it for you. These warm hearted and friendly poeple make your day every day. The stunning views from the rooms (not all) and from the breakfast room or summer terrace is amazing...overlooking different hilltops with the typical Piemont scenery. In summer you can have a plunge in the graden pool, or have a nice pick-nick under the trees of the wondeful garden next to the vineyards. Take the time to stay there two nights...enjoy the views, relax and breeth it all in !

What a wonderful 4 days here in November with Giancarlo Amerio . Even in foggy late autumn, Piemonte is just an absolute delight. It's so moody and mystical, driving past the rows of vines and glimpsing into the farmsteads and terracota roofs. The delightful Amerio family are so welcoming and friendly.

The Casa is surrounded by their Moscato and Barbera d’Asti vineyard and you can soon slip into the gentle pace and peace of Asti’s Langhe region. My son and I had the Red Room - exposed bricks, a terracotta-tiled floor and a wrought iron double bed & single bed made the room classic yet cosy The ground floor opens up onto a quiet sitting room where you can read by the fire and help yourself to an honesty bar - evening grappas or Spumante - yes please! Next door there’s the beautiful, naturally lit breakfast room looking over the hills, vineyards and outdoor swimming pool [summers only].

The breakfast buffet is varied and made of your typical Italian morning fayre - meats, cheeses, pastries, bread - all high-quality, fresh local products. The mother Sandra makes the best coffee too, using Lavazza beans. Nothing is too much trouble for her. She genuinely enjoys having guests around.

You can buy both the top Moscato DOCG and the Barbera d’Asti DOC “Cà du Giaj” (so named after the ancient country house) and available to quoff all day at any time! ECCELLENTE!! Giancarlo knows all the decent, affordable restaurants in nearby Canelli or Calosso and will book you an evening table. All part of the wonderful service.

Very nice and calm place in a small village in Asti region. A little bit hard to find the right way but once you are there it is very good placed to explore the beautiful region
The family who runs the Agriturismo are very helpful and will look after you well, try to learn some Italian phrases as the older generation is limited in English.
Beautiful surroundings and a nice place to spend some days at.

We only had one night here but wished we had more. It was a beautiful house with a view of hills covered in grape vines. I had a nap on one of the loungers by the pool, which is lined with lavender. Room was very spacious and opened up to the lawn. It was clean and bright. There was no shower but a bath with a spray faucet. Saw fireflies in the vines when we got back from dinner that night. Very nice.

Great value. Rooms and meals in the area are the least expensive since we got to Italy two weeks ago. You better like quiet and wine that's what you have here. VERY few English speakers. Bring your Italian skills.
