We were not sure what to expect from this place as we knew that it was new. We loved it. As a family of four 2 adults - 2 children 12 & 10 it is difficult sometimes to get good sized accommodation. The room doesn't have windows which means it stays very cool throughout the hot days. It did have air con but we didn't need it as the natural use of the building kept it cool. The front door and the rooms operated but a numerical code. This was great as my son was often sent back to the room to get different things and we didn't need to worry about him losing the key. The front door opened right into the heart of the old town which was perfect for us.
Almondo (prob not spelt correctly) the owner, was a fabulous host and very friendly. The rooms were cleaned really well, and nothing was too much for him.
We had opted for B&B and the breakfast was done by a card that we took over the road to a lovely cafe / bakers. It was a simple croissant or pastry with a coffee or orange juice so not likely to put on lots of weight after a long stay - this i s a good thing. The only downside was there was no coofee / tea making facilities in the room, but Canelli was not short on Cafes that you could just nip out to and bring a drink back whilst the kids slept on.
Would highly recommend this lovely establishment - my only hope is that the next time we go it hasn't become too popular so we can't get in!

Very nice place, one of the best location in town, the owner is very friendly and helpful.
Rooms are clean and modern, with all comforts, despite being in a very historic building in the very heart of Canelli.
You won't need a car to see the town itself but definitely to visit the beautiful area, finding a parking spot is not hard but pay attention to the signs.

My mother stayed here twice before and told me lots of good things about this place but it wasn't until my own visit which left me pleasantly surprised.
This place is a beauty, homely and safe. We travelled as a family to visit other family members and friends. The property owner was very friendly and helpful from start to finish. He organised a taxi for us from a near by city (Asti) as we arrived late at night and there were no public transport available at that time. The taxi driver was very helpful, very informed and even offered to take us somewhere to get something to eat before dropping us at the hotel.
The hotel is right at the centre of town, shops, food, restaurants and the local market which is on a Tuesdays and Fridays where you can get great fresh Italians fruits, meat, vegetables and loads more of goodies. We had a two bedroom apartment with a french balcony bedroom upstairs, kitchen and bathroom. Everything VERY clean! Very light and modern! Bed sheets were clean and didn't smell at all. Rooms were warm and had everything we needed and more. There were house products, dish washing products, washing machine, iron, TV, Wi-fi, a mop to sweep any spills which does happen when children are around. My son enjoyed going downstairs and play in the outside area within the hotel.
Breakfast was always something to look forward to each morning right across the road with a selection of fresh Italian pastries and great juices/coffee, we usually sat outside at the bar and watched the Italians go up and down to the market. Armando was very kind always helpful with great suggestions and any concerns we had he was fully available. He even helped us carry the suitcases down when we were leaving. We used the same taxi driver Giulio to take us to the nearest city were we could get the train back to the airport. Wonderful stay and we surely will return soon. If you like a clean, safe place away from home at a very decent price you won't regret staying at this little beauty in the centre of EVERYTHING!!!

This hotel really offered a great experience and the hotel manager was both charming, friendly and very helpful. I'd happily recommend this for anyone coming to Canelli for e.g exploring the wineyards in the area.

This is a small (6 room?) hotel in the centre of Canelli. Despite the historical setting the rooms themselves are modern clean and spatious.
As you would expect from such a small place there are few facilities -no parking, no restaurant. However being so central this is not an issue as you can find these in the local area.
The owner is very friendly and helpful. Would definately stay again if visiting the region.

Just returned from the busy "Assedio di Canelli" weekend when hundreds of people visit this town for the historic re-enactment. We stayed at a newly renovated apartment which slept up to 4 people. Very comfortable and clean, with a well appointed kitchen. The courtyard was an oasis of cool and peace, yet when leaving the apartments, we stepped out into the very heart of the old town. The owner went out of his way to help us with special requests. Friends staying at the same time were similarly delighted. Some of the rooms offered do not have the kitchen; in this case, you receive a breakfast voucher to spend at a cafe in the square, which is just as friendly.

In the center of Cannelli, a stone's throw from all the splendid wineries to visit... a very kind host who is available to give all the information... well-kept rooms with impeccable cleanliness... a truly highly recommended structure
