The customer service was brilliant and a very nice young woman made sure we got to our table before it got really busy and already had put a bottle of wine onto the table, ready for the meal. The starter was fast and very enjoyable along with the rest of the meal and the pudding was delicious. We will be...

We arrived to the Lodge and was meet by a very helpful receptionist. Booking in was nice and easy. We were given the key to the room and told its location. The room was clean. the bed was another issue. I think they need to invest in new mattresses. I was looking forward to booking in for an evening meal...

We stayed in a room across the courtyard, it was ground floor. The room was lovely, very clean. The staff were very friendly. The only problem was at night when people arrived in the room above, you could hear them walking about, coughing etc. Breakfast was excellent, We couldn't fault it. The hotel is in a lovely setting.

Second visit we've had here now both for special occasions and couldn't fault the staff and their service. Also the food is lovely. Be prepared to pay a bit more for your drinks though but they do do a good Rosè

We booked rooms here for Halloween weekend, not realising how popular Whitby gets at this time of year, this was the closest we could find! We booked two family rooms and we're lucky enough to get one of the rooms with four poster bed. This room was spacious, had a window seat with lovely view and a fabulous gothic feel...

We stayed here 2 years ago and liked the location but found the room in need of updating. On our return visit we were given a room in the newer outside annex. We had room 25. The toilet did not flush properly. we reported it but it was not repaired nor were we given any update or communication on the...

First time visit for us, wasn't expecting it to be very good with the other reviews that were on here. The room was quite a good size and plenty of room to fit the travel cot in. The curtains weren't too great as they let in the light, not great for a summer visit but for winter they are fine....

The location is ideal to visit Scarborough , Pickering and the beautiful countryside around the area. We stayed in rooms in the main building. Bedding and towels lily white and soft. Rooms adequate for two people, tea, coffee, biscuits in rooms. Warm and cosy atmosphere throughout the hotel. Nicky, Sophie and Damon couldn't do enough for us, they were all...

A quiet country location with plenty of parking so great for walking, but close enough to Scarborough for the seaside. Exceptional value. We had a premium room in the main building which was really spacious. The only downside was the bathroom - no shower, a low ceiling over the bath meant you couldn't comfortably stand up, and low pressure from...
