Such a welcoming place to stay, staff are wonderful as are the owners. Love it, love it, love it. I have been to many hotels, motels, and B&B's over the years and I honestly don't think you could have a warmer welcome.

To many reasons to list, but the gut in reception was good , needs knocking down and starting again , looking very tired and un clean , but it is cheap , so guess you should not expect five stars, don't like leaving bad reviews but if I can help save somebody else the misery

The hotel is pretty run down outside, and the inside isn't very "modern", but the staff are lovely and it's very clean. The room decor was very tired, and wallpaper was peeling, the bathroom door was not very stable and the toilet itself was chipped and broken. But the beds where clean and it's not far from Bolton city centre...

Cracking value for money, cheerful staff, great bar and entertainment makes this place a must if all you want is a base to get your head down whilst travelling on a budget. A 1-minute drive to the M61 and 10mins to Bolton where I was meeting old work friends for a reunion made this an ideal choice. Having asked the...

Stayed for 2 nights with my partner. Got there and had a few drinks in the bar and some food which was nice. Personally think the food is too over priced for the amount. Got to our room which was ok but we had a disabled bathroom? Our shower was walk in with a chair in it and all barriers...

The hotel was in a good location. Just off the motorway and on a dual carriageway. The check in was efficient and easy and the hotel wasn't very clean. The room was grubby and the bathroom wax not very clean at all. Not somewhere that is like to stay again unless it had been refurbished.

Stayed for one night here, and there are good and bad things about the Mercury. We booked a double room, and the bed seemed to be very small compared to the bed we have at home, which is a standard 4' 6* double. The mattress seemed to have a life of its own, each time either of us moved, it...

My partner and I stay here quite a bit. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable enough. The staff are really helpful. There is a bar there and there is usually something on in the bar. It's a place with character and a homely feel. It's very reasonably priced too.

I stayed here recently for 2 nights, a single female. I can honestly say I was made most welcome, and staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean, although a bit tired. Comfy bed, plenty of hot water and modern small tv. Evening live entertainment was good in the bar with very reasonably...

Paid for 2 nights and could only tolerate 1 of them. Yes it is clean and good location on a main road but the overpowering stench of damp/musty/mould made the stay unbearable. Very run down bathroom. Very thin walls.
