The location is just magnificent in mist of a tea plantation. The rooms are in fact semi-tents, on a concrete foundation, with a walled bath room. It was very windy when we were there and at night the tent tarpaulins were flapping against each other causing some noise. Sleep was fine nevertheless. Having your tent door open, lying in bed...

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a driver led tour. Getting to the lodge was a nightmare, the jeep wasn't available, our car couldn't access the road, so we ended up getting a tuktuk the 5 or so kms which took best part of 40 minutes, up a dark dirt track with limited passing spaces. The main lodge...

Madulkelle Tea & Eco Lodge is indeed a nice place for relaxation. The gardening is lovely, the food is very good and the views are fantastic. However, one should remember that the 'rooms' are only tents, and not too spacious either, which practically means that they are strictly used for a night's sleep. But what's most annoying is that the...

I always write the reviews after some time so I can write what stuck on my memories about the place not the feeling of the moment which can be subjective. First of all it is not near kandy as they advertise, it is a whole adventure to reach Kandy from the resort. Arriving at this resort after driving through a...

We stayed here for 2 nights in a tent with spectacular views. The tents are very comfortable, and has a separate bathroom. At night, when the stars came out, I felt like we were at a planetarium. You can see so many constellations so clearly. There is a British colonial feel to the dining hut, and the food is very...

This is an absolutely lovely place high up in the tea country. The setting and accommodations were spectacular. We hiked the Knuckles range during our visit and the neighboring tea estate. We would definitely go back to Madulkelle Tea and Eco Lodge.

We stayed at Madulkelle Tea and Eco Lodge for three nights. The seemingly endless view from the entire property overlooking the tea plantations and mountains is breathtaking. The tents are very comfortable and luxurious equipped with a small porch, ideal for enjoying a cup of the complimentary tea provided. The restaurant has an excellent chef so we enjoyed dining there...

We landed in Colombo and had a transfer arranged by the lodge to take us directly to Madulkele. We could sleep in the mini van for a large part of the 4.5 hour drive. The driver took us to a nice local place for breakfast. Arriving at the lodge we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the surroundings in which...

Madulkelle sits on the most unbelievably beautiful location in Sri Lanka's tea country overlooking the Knuckles Range. We were 3 couples who stayed in January and thoroughly enjoyed the 2 nights we were there. The accommodations are permanently constructed heavy duty South African tents (South African tents are really the best in the world and seen all over safari sites...

Its a great place to relax. Frendly staff. Excelant view of knuckels mountain range (early morning view is great ) On the down side not much choice in food. But given the small number of guests we can expect that. Try to avoid the rainy season. The road through the tea estaste is in a bad shape in some places...
