We stayed at Casa Libre and had an amazing stay. Josue and Dawn were VERY hospitable. They bent over backwards to make us feel comfortable but were never too imposing. We rented the kayak and took it out to Monkey Island, which is just across the bay. I highly recommend taking that trip when you stay at Casa Libre. You... More

I would have given this a great rating but an $85 a night stay has now turned into a $180 a night stay for the 2010/2011 season at he exact same time and same room. Terrible value for a guesthouse, especially when there has been no change to justify the massive increase. We were shocked. I would strongly advise booking... More

My husband and I stayed at Casa Libre for three nights at the end of September/beginning of October. We were able to find the place with no problems, but it is definitely off the beaten path. This was part of the charm of the whole experience for us, as we prefer to stay away from the typical touristy areas and... More

We stayed at the Casa Libre Guest House in Puerto Rico and it was fabulous. It is located on the east side of the island in a small fishing village called Playa Hucares in Naguabo. The proprietors Patti Swanson and Josue Rivera Sotomayor treated us like family. Every morning we had a terrific breakfast to start our day with on... More

Casa Libre is a B&B that is nesteled on a hillside, overlooking a small fishing village. The location was perfect for us. It is within a short driving distance to many places we wanted to visit on vacation. So we stayed all week. Our room, the green room, was very spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and just steps from the pool.... More

We have NEVER stayed with more accommodating and hospitable hosts. It truly felt like we were staying with friends we've known forever. We are the kind of travelers who like to do the off the beaten path type of activities and stay away from the touristy stuff. Josue and Dawn were wonderful in helping us to do this. My husband... 1) Whatever you do, don't plug their address into your GPS. You will end up in a random neighborhood 15 minutes in the wrong direction, wondering how the #$%@ this place could possibly have an ocean view and how TripAdvisor could have led you so astray. Casa Libre will email you driving directions when you make your reservation -- USE... More

My Wife and i stayed here with our 3 year old son for 2 nights in the Blue room. We were not sure when we first showed up if we made the right choice but over next two days, we felt we made a good decision, as the room was very spacious, had wi-fi and our 3 year old had... More
