I went to Robin's fruit farm in 2008. All I wanna know is - what is that pumpkin cheesecake fruit that Robin had? It was out of this world amazing. Even he didn't really know the name for it, as he got it in Malaysia or something. If anyone knows what it's called in English - or its scientific name...

Robin is the owner, and he provided us a tour of the rainforest that topped our hopes. My wife, au pair, and 1.5 and 3.5 year olds joined Robin for a custom tour lasting well over 3 hours. As we walked through the forest, Robin shared blueberries and other trailside edibles, which was a highlight for the littles. He brought...

I stayed for a few nights recently at the cabin with my husband. I read these totally opposite reviews prior to arrival, but found it all depends on your expectations and perspective. The cabin is simple and placed in a beautiful spot surrounded by trees and frogs. The hike up to the cabin is a little challenging (very steep!) while...

I loved the guy Robin Phillips. He is really a good man with good heart. He is been living a secluded life eating fruits and vegan that normal basic necessities doesn't matter to him. As for me I will give the DO's and DON'Ts DO- Do a trek with Robin Phillips, he has huge knowledge about the area and it...

Amazing views all around Robins property.Remember this is real camping so bring everthing you need. Robin was hospitable and stayed up talking...

I read all of the reviews and felt I had a proper expectations set in my mind, but the Rainforest Fruit Farm was quite a bit more memorable that I expected!! Memorable can carry multiple connotations! :-) Here was our experience. - Arrived near dusk (our fault and bad decision). We parked along the road and started walking up the...

I was just telling a friend about the great experience we had here, came on Trip Adviser to show him and when I saw the reviews I knew I had to write one. You should first know that to call Robin Phillips, the owner, eccentric might even be an understatement. However, he is incredibly intelligent, extremely nice and hospitable and...

I planned a nine day trip to PR back in April while I was in Afghanistan. I booked the "Fruit Farm" cabin for the 14th and 15th of October 2012. My wife and I are both adventure seekers and outdoor enthusiast. We have no problem making do without the special things and comforts of 5 star accommodations. Upon arrival we...

Forget everything these people say about the cabin and the fruit farm. Robin is an excellent host and I still communicate with him today via facebook. I dont know what the cityfolks from Cali expected, but this place is an excellent mountainside accommodation (I will admit its not the Ritz--but if you want the Ritz stay in San Juan---more importantly...

I've stayed in a lot of places, from resorts to camping sites, and I've never been so itching to get home from my trip to write a review as I have been for the "Rainforest Fruit Farm." So now I can scratch that itch, and be done with this. The truth... it will set you free, as they say, but...

“There is only one "room" here, the cabin. The best tip I can give you is read my entire review, look at the pictures, and then decide.”
  • The one redeeming quality is the deck and those hammocks.
  • Your toilet at the cabin.
