The first bamboo resort in Majuli, and pioneer of resort industry in Majuli, The La Maison De Ananda is one of the best place to stay in the river island. Nicely maintained and beautifully designed by very good hearted people, always there for guests. They have rooms named after local flowers, with little balconies. All are made from bamboos. For...

We were a group of 6 friends over 55 years of age. We got the rooms at the entrance to the property and they were very basic rooms with no bathroom doors, rough wood, plastic tables, no bathroom sinks! At our age we found these lack of comforts unsettling and left a day early. We noticed that the younger people...

The room was ok but the log ladder to get into room was a challenge for service staff and guests. The staff is not accommodating. The restaurant only serves food certain hours and if you miss it tough luck. We missed both dinner and breakfast. Getting mosquito plugs and hot water for tea was a major challenge. Give this a...

Exceptionally great place to stay in. The bamboo and hay construction of the lodging/cottage adds so much value to the time spent in Majuli. I doubt there is any other place on the island that can better La Maison. The food is a little overpriced but their Tribal Thaali is definitely worth shelling out a little extra for. They provide...

People are very welcoming and polite. The food served was healthy and tasty and served hot, right in their kitchen.! Ooh.. What...

If you want to really in search of history really go to this place. And Monjit is an awesome person. It is very economic and his behaviour that is main key. I roamed around Majuli with his Scooty. Actually scooty is very much necessary as the Santaras are in distance each other. And the Brahmaputra. Sunrise and Sunset... Whenever you...

Excellent place, beautiful experience! Monjit and his family really made my stay in Majuli very amazing. When I couldn't locate the exact location of the hut, one of his teammates even came up to pick me. Stay and home food were awesome. One should definitely try the local rice beer (Apong) and the tribal food they offer. Their hospitality went...
