On arrival at the hotel we were told breakfast FINISHED at 08.45am. We hadn't pre paid so I asked not to include breakfast. The girl on the desk said we had booked in advance so couldn't take breakfast off. Room was clean but has a stale smoke /musty smell. Breakfast was a disappointment, definitely not worth getting up early for....

I selected this hotel purely on the basis of location in the same village as my birthplace 72 years ago which I had never revisited. On a business trip I am generally pretty selective, on this occasion it was not an issue - but a well appointed and very comfortable room. They have a huge Thai restaurant - a reflection...

Stayed here on business and was very impressed. The rooms were clean and facilities more than adequate. I understand that the price for bed and breakfast was very reasonable although I did not book it. Breakfast was generous, staff attentive and location excellent. RECOMMENDED,

We have been a few times for lunch. We had the set Thia menu which is very good with lots of different dishes. They have more traditional meal for children. Service was a bit slow but you don't need to book so they obviously don't know how many will be coming. There were eight of us.

A must to try, fantastic food, The Bar restaurant also is good traditional food. Breakfast was excellent, fresh juice, tea, coffee, cereal, toast and full cooked breakfast. Everywhere is clean and...

Ideally situated for the places we wanted to visit. Room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. On the downside, our even numbered room was on the main road side - a lot of traffic noise, but it had a fantastic view. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was adequate, could have been better if served on hot plates. The bar...

The hotel is located at East Rainton, where there are few local activities and it is some 6 miles to Durham City. The hotel room was fine, clean and tidy. We were worried that there might be excessive noise from the passing road, as indicated in some reviews, but we were not disturbed by traffic noise. The restaurant served mainly...
