It was a good decision. We were looking for a family outing to recover from lockdown. My mother who just crossed 94 was reminding us often to organize a family gathering in good location. My friend recommended me this place.
We enjoyed Abhyangam Ayurvedic massage very much.

We got stuck in Daman due to unplanned rains and reached this place at 10PM with heavy rains. One holy gentleman from Govardhan kept in touch regularly throughout the day and also kept scrumptious 5 course meal/dinner for us and our kids too. They also called someone this late to drop us to our room via a boogie in this heavy rain.
Before booking we contacted the resort and asked for rooms which would be better for our toddler & infants and they suggested Mahavan Cottages. And boy these rooms are huge with modern fittings and extremely well maintained, probably because these are the newest of the lot.
We were provided with 2 extra mattresses for our kids and it was a good night sleep for all of us.
People planning to visit this place should know that this is not a typical resort and instead it is a combination of a good place to stay along with an overall holy experience like satvik & finger licking food, access to multiple temples, extremely well maintained flora and fauna in 100 acres of curated forest land, experience many Aarti's/Prayers throughout the day and best of all for our kids feeding cows.
Overall set your expectations right while visiting this holy resort and you will have a great time.

Had visited GEV along with my family of 6 including 1 year Twins.
The location and place is awesome and you will connect spiritually to divine place specifically because it’s managed by ISKCON..
On flip side this place has to get infant friendly as I fail to understand despite pre notification how a miniature Gokul nagari could not manage sufficient milk for infants.. people there tried to help however communication within department was a challenge I believe ... will request management to please look into. otherwise all good

A nice place to visit. Beautiful temple. Though lack of facilities for one day visitors. There should be a proper place for rest. The open place had two fans but we're not allowed to switch them on. Heat was unbearable. Since we arrived early we had to sit and wait as our tour slot was at 4 pm. Lunch should have more options. Too basic. Visitors should be allowed into Govinda Restaurant though it is restricted to only guests who have booked rooms. Entry fee into the Restaurant would be good. The tour inside is good.

Its very peaceful, spiritual place by ISKCON,Hare Rama Hare Krishna..The Place has a temple and recreation center which has a museum & show video on Krishna. Place has a big Goshala and you get fresh and pure milk products in the canteen. You have stay options fro cottages to hotel rooms & its really amazing, rooms with all amenities.Restaurant offering organic, healthy tasty food. They take the guest on a eco-village tour in the evening. Evening & Morning Aarti & yagay brings divinity in the environment it really calms you from inside.Place has a small lake & setup similar to Vrindavan. It was really pleasure spending time there.

From beginning to end, this was the most magical spiritual place we have visited whilst in India. It is a village of love, care, joy, and compassion for our planet and each other. My daughter is a Krishna devotee and a disciple to Radhanath Swami founder of this village. She had suggested we must visit on our travels and we are so glad we did. Everyone made is so welcome. Music plays throughout the village throughout the day and my heart has no choice but to sing and dance along. This is a village with school, a hospital, a bank, a farm, huge solar panel farm. This is a self-sufficient village. What is not to love. The attention to detail in the Vridavan forest, many temples and beautiful grounds will be etched in my memory forever. Special notice and thankyou to the Ayurvedic Treatment centre and Dr Rajashree, Rasia, Tulika and all at Govindas Cafe. We will miss you all. But we are definitely going to return. Also, not to miss the bumping into Radhanath Swami himself. Slightly starstruck, however, he was everything plus more the charming humble enlightened humorous compassionate human i knew he would be. Huge love to all involved in this amazing project. Penny & David. Manchester UK

Very poor experience. Pathetic arrogant people managing the sacred place. Housekeeping team is so arrogant and non sense. They Don't bother about guests. Charges are very unreasonable. Only one single bed provided for guests on twin sharing as well. Only one key provided even if two guests are there. Too many unreasonable and non sensical restrictions. no cleaning service provided. Unclean and unhygienic toilets. Many more negative experiences. Dim Lighting, poor Wifi, unresponsive, arrogant and Irresponsible Staff. Not recommended to anyone. Please do bhakti at your home and local temple. No need to come and waste ur time, energy and money.

We drove down from Thane to GEC and stayed for 2 nights. This was an uplifting divine experience. This is a great place to unwind and soak in the spiritual vibes. Food was great. The rooms are clean and well maintained. It is wonderful to wake up listening to the sounds of the birds at the foothills of the Sahyadri mountains. For those who are not spiritually inclined, GEC has a Ayurvedic center as well. Participating in some of the aarti / bhajan rituals at the temples is a beautiful experience. The Vrindavan tour is also good. A different kind of ISKCON experience. Would love to visit again some day soon.
