Happened upon this gorgeous accommodation after a recommendation of a B&B owner in Chalons-en-Champagne. This quaint and comfortable place is serene in atmosphere and steeped in history, the original barn constructed in 1790 and the main house in 1860. Our host, Sylvain, was welcoming and booked our evening meal at a French resterauant nearby, the food and service were excellent...

A beautiful bed and breakfast in a beautiful location, run by a very friendly owner who speaks great English. We are disappointed that we didn't have the chance to stay longer as we only stayed for one night on route to our holiday in the Alps. Do not hesitate to book here!

This was our second visit, we had previously been three years ago - and it sas just as we remembered. Silvain is utterly charming - extremely helpful and he has a quiet sense of humour. He's the mayor of the local community now - something he is clearly passionate about. The house and setting is just beautiful - a working...

We loved this charming and authentic French country B&B. Quiet and comfortable and an excellent breakfast too with locally/home made jams and good French coffee. The host/owner provided local information on Champagne producers.

It was our second stay at sylvains house.we stayed there for three days and felt really welcomed! The room is nicely furnished and very clean. Breakfast is excellant in french style and you really feel cared for. We enyoed the picknick in the garden during the evenings. This time we went to play golf nearby and it was really great.

We found this place by looking here on Trip advisor and made a 5 day booking on the strength of the excellent reviews posted by previous guests, We were a little worried as commiting oneself to a place that hasn't been visited before may seem a little daunting but we can say with complete honesty that La Cour en Bas...

Quaint cosy cottage in a beautiful village, nested in the heart of Champagne. Located close to the some of the best champagne houses. The rooms were done up beautifully in a charming old fashioned manner and breakfast with Sylvan was delicious!

I recently stayed at La Cour en bas and had a magnificent time. Monsieur Sylvain Lanfroy is a consummate gentleman and a kind and sincere host. I felt very welcomed and he is truly happy to receive each of his guests. I learned through some delightful guests visiting from another region in France that Sylvain has not only a loyal...

We had a one-night stay whilst crossing France by car and can honestly say, we should have booked in for a few days. Sylvain is the perfect host - recommending an excellent restaurant nearby for our evening meal, providing absolutely top class rooms and service, finished off with a fabulous breakfast in the morning. I've used many B&B's across France...
