Detailed Reviews
Staying with AnneMarie Hagan is like going home to a long lost relative. Her home is warm and welcoming and her company is exceptional. The house is spotless, you are made to feel as if it is your own by helping yourself to the kitchen and relaxing to watch TV. AnneMarie is full of stories and is happy to share them and listen to your own. This was my first ever stay at a B&B and I wasn't sure what to expect but I know what I found, a new friend and a warm home.

We stayed 3 nights recently while hiking on the East Coast Trail. Host Anne Marie provided all of the necessities and more. She met us in St. John's and provided a guided tour of sights en route to Aquaforte. She ferried us to trail heads and retrieved us at hike's end. She laid out breakfasts and made dinners. She transferred our bags. On the middle day she accompanied us to Ferryland, Cape Brace and Mistaken Point interpretive sites. All with good cheer and enthusiasm. The B&B was spotless and the room spacious and quiet. Anne Marie is a fount of knowledge of local history and has stories, some funny, some tragic, to share.

My wife and I stayed with host Anne Marie while hiking the East Coast Trail. The B&B is spotless, and we were quickly made to feel as if we were family. Breakfasts offer a choice of eggs, bacon, etc. or there's a large selection of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, and toast and jams from which to choose. And at dinner, we never left the table wanting more...it was like eating at home. For hikers, there are lots of choices for packed lunches. We especially liked the drying racks in the basement that allowed us to hang our hiking clothes out to dry after laundering...a nice touch! What made this B&B special, however, was the host Anne Marie Hagan's willingness to share her knowledge about Newfoundland and the outport life that, sadly, is disappearing. We'd love to return!

Stayed at this B&B on august22, 2014. Had a wonderful experience. Was treated like visiting family. It was very clean and we had access to the kitchen if needed. Anne Marie was the most gracious host and we enjoyed our conversations with her. Would definitely stay there again if the opportunity should come up.
Thank you, Anne Marie for the memory

The room was comfortable, and Anne-Marie was very friendly and accommodating. But the windows had to stay closed because of some flies that could get in through the screen. So the house was roasting. The other guests were very warm as well.

Ann Marie Hagan picked our group of four bikers up from the airport in St. John's airport for a reasonable rate and gave us a scenic and personal tour on the way back to Aquaforte. Although the house isn't divided into a separate section for guests, Ann Marie and her mother are approachable and friendly. The rooms are plain but spotless and comfortable. There also is a natural swimming hole a few minutes away. I highly recommend this place.

Hagan's Hospitality Home is a B&B. Rita, the owner prefers to call it a home. We can see why. Evening tea was like this at home. Great snacks and great company. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I can't remember a place this clean. It is absolutely spotless and Rita takes great pride in this. The price is right at $70 and includes a full breakfast and great company. Aquaforte is near Bay Bull's and not far from Trepassy.
Rita can be reached at 709-363-2688.

Very clean accommodation , great food & plenty of it , laundry services available and transportation provided. Anne Marie Hagan had a full house when we stayed with her to hike the southern portion of the East Coast Trail, everything & anything that we needed was provided. Thank you so much, Anne Marie for a fantastic Newfoundland experience.

We stayed three nights as a group of nine frinds hiking the East Coast Trail together. Anne Marie was welcoming, showed us around the house and immediately asked if we had dirty laundry. She did a couple of loads of laundry for us, while preparing dinner. The house was spotless and comfortable. The issue about heat has been resolved. We were comfortable despite the hot spell Newfoundland was experiencing. Anne Marie was a lot of fun, we had so many laughs. She is also a great source of information about the local community and Newfoundland in general. She was generous with meals and willing to help out with anything and everything. It was a lovely end to our hiking vacation.
