We stayed in L'Edgar for 3 days in july 2016 (Parents and to boys (both 13 years old). From the moment you arrive to the hotel- you feel France and you feel welcome. Nice rooms, great beds and a nice bathroom. The management was absolutely polite and helpful and made you feel like home. The waitresses was smiling, friendly and...

It's surprising that the Edgar is a one star hotel when it's better than some three star hotels I've stayed in. The reception staff are very helpful and the rooms tastefully decorated. The beds are very comfy and the bathrooms are enormous (or at least our bathroom was). Port Lesny is a tranquil ancient town situated on either side of...

We stayed at the Hotel L'Edgar for a couple of nights in early August 2014 as part of a cycling tour of the area. Port-Lesney is a beautiful village and the hotel is next to the Loue river so has a great location. We didn't feel that the hotel was particularly welcoming, I think the lady manager must have been...

This small hotel is a pleasant place in a delightful small village. The units are upstairs with no lift. The décor was nicely done, simple, shabby chic. The staff was quite nice. We arrived just after 9pm and they still offered to serve us dinner. Breakfast was very simple: coffee, milk, juice and really good breads with butter and jams....

This hotel has a great location about 200m from the Loue river. It has been tastefully but cheaply renovated with a assortment of delightful pastel colours. Pretty basic sanitary installation. The rooms although pleasant are overpriced. The breakfast even more (€8.50 for a basic continental breakfast consisting of 1croissant and small glass of "juice", 2 pieces of bread, butter and...

Stopped here on a cycling holiday in Franche Comte and were very well looked after. Alexis the Patron even offered to drive us to Saline Royal when weather would have made it difficult that day. Food in the restaurant is simply prepared though very tasty.

We booked into the hotel to be close to our friends who were staying up the road at Chateau de Germigney. L'Edgar is very reasonably priced accommodation close to Arbois. We were the only guests in the hotel so it was very quiet. We briefly met the hotel staff on arrival. Had we arrived slightly later we would have had...

Exploring Franche-Comté following Raymond Blanc's TV programme - village featured in first episode. Village pub with fairly basic rooms, sparcely furnished, small shower, no TV. Charming and helpful host who personally cooked us excellent meals when the restaurant was closed to the public, even provided us with cable for wifi. Real genuine rural French experience but description on booking site...
