Resort located on South End of Kata Beach towards top of hill. Resort comprises 5 main buildings built around 2 pool areas. One on lower level one pool on higher level. As it is on top steep hill restaurants and bar area and pool designed to take in sweeping views of Kata Beach, Rooms smallish but well laid out and all amenities good. Beds incredibly comfortable Beach towels supplied - but not changed during weeks stay ( exchanged on third day from trolley in hallway. Staff very friendly Breakfast buffet well patronised and refilled constantly. Choice and variety brilliant. Good 3/4 star ⭐️ resort

Had a 4 day stay at the SIS Kata Phuket. The Property is situated at great location and everything is accessible easily. It is well maintained and greenery all round. The staff service could be improved as upon checkin they asked us to wait and were assisting guests that came after us. What we felt service was biased as staff was offering wet towels and welcome drinks to other guests while we were sitting there for good 10-15 mins and nothing was offered. Rooms were good however the lighting can be improved in restrooms. I left my belongings in the room and while checkout when staff was examining the room they didn't informed that I left my newly purchased shoes. The only good thing was the security guard at the entrance who always welcomed us with a smile.

Great modern hotel. The room is comfy and stylish but our beds were very very uncomfortable, they sank in the middle. They cleanliness around the hotel was breat. The cleanliness in the room could be improved. Our soap bar had disolved and they didn't clean the dish or replaced the soap. Breakfast was good although after a few days it lacks variety. The beach it's only 10min walk and on a hill. The only problem is the condition of the path on the hill. It's very uneven and the terrain is hard foe walking on flip flops and with traffic coming very close. They hotel needs to look into sorting a safer path on the hill. The location is a bit far from all the action in town, you need transport to get anywhere. If you want the pool and just the beach great location. Some rooms can be a bit noisy as it's very close to main road.

Just got home after a week at The Sis Kata, and what can I say…. Me and my husband were both blown away by everything. Never have I stayed at a hotel where each and every staff member makes you feel welcome! If we needed anything, we would literally have it within 5 minutes! Our airline lost our luggage so we we were without anything the first 2 days, but Peach at Reception told us where we could go to buy essentials and every morning her and other staff would always ask how we were, if we got our luggage etc! Breakfast on the roof was perfect and a wide selection of things every day, shout out to Yaya and Tom, every morning the cutest staff always coming to chat to us! Charles always helping with our bags, or answering our countless questions! And the lovely manager, she was always there with a smile and I love how she interacted with the guests. The rooms were clean, and nothing to complain about! There’s a fridge and staff made sure to tell us it was chargeable so we wouldn’t end up with a charge without knowing! Everyone is always working hard in this place and you will truly feel like they are your friends. We didn’t want to leave this place and will definitely be visiting again.

Stayed at the hotel for 5 nights over the new year period, enjoyed the party at the hotel nye great DJ on danced all night. Staff at the hotel really friendly always made the effort to say hello and ask how your day had been. Room was lovely very modern, breakfast was good, cocktails at the pool bar really nice and there was a happy hour. If staying in Kata I would stay here again.

When we arrived it was good and the service was fine but remember to have 2000baht in cash because that is what you have to deposit when you check in. Our room that we got was terrible because it was very dirty inside and toilet and shower and everything. It was even sand on the table in front of the TV and also dust and someone’s hair on the floor. We did complain to the reception and she came there and took picture and then she said that they can clean it again and they said that there is no other room available. We came back to the room after a while and it was cleaned according to them but it was in almost the same condition as before. The only thing they cleaned was the water tap in the sink because it was some white stain on it. Then we complained again and then we could talk with the manager and he said that he will get another room for us and also check it and clean it before we get it. And he fixed another room for us and it took maybe 2-3 hours and then we came back to the hotel and he showed us the new room and it was much better. Very nice manager and he was very sorry for this also and he really wanted to help. Unfortunately I don’t remember his name but he was very kind and service minded. The breakfast was okey I would say and nothing special in that way but one thing is that there is this birds flying around everywhere and if you leave the table and you have some food there still the birds will go there and eat and the staff will not do anything unfortunately. The lunch is average and you pay to much for it. The dinner I can not say anything about because we only did eat breakfast there and lunch once. The drinks are good if you order in the bar inside but if you order drinks from the pool bar and there is this guy with glasses and he seems quite confused then I recommend to order somewhere else because he has no clue of what he is doing. He was very funny and service minded but he could not make drink’s unfortunately. The location of the hotel is quite okey I would say but the hill up to the hotel is not so nice but it is good training if you think of it that way.

Sawasdee krab! Thank you very much for taking the time to post here on Trip Advisor Once again please accept my personal apologies for the guest room issues, but pleased that we could sort it out for you. Our FB team are currently on some training courses so hopefully we will see some improvements very soon. This year as with many hotels, the newly recruited staff are 'fresh' into the industry and continualy training is needed. Sadly with the birds, there is not alot we can do as the restaurant is open air and they fly as they wish, however Chef Yha does cover food stuffs as much as we can and request that guests dont feed the birds too which we hope discourages them too. We do hope that we are able to welcome you back again soon and thank you for choosing The SIS Kata. With best regards from all the team and thanks again for taking the time to post. Having travelled the world and stayed in average to high end hotels I would say this is average at best. Starting with the room which is a poor design - the open plan shower and toilet, very limited space to hang clothes and put suitcases away. The bed is in the wrong position, placed in the centre of the room rather against a wall (although on a plus the bed is comfortable). Whoever designed this hotel was focussing more on a modern/funky look rather than taking into consideration the needs of individuals on vacation. Breakfast is below average, food is tasteless and the tea /coffee looks and taste awful. Pool area very few sun beds and only one pool towel given per person per room, a small towel which covers less than half of the sun bed. Pool towels also stained which is rather off putting. On check in you have to provide a 2000 baht deposit for the towel!! Very unusual behaviour for a hotel of this star - it’s more on par to a 3/2 star behaviour. Too much emphasis on the outside dining area which is sporadically utilised. This could be changed to providing extra sun beds for guests. No toilet by the pool so having to head to the lower floor. Some areas showing signs of wear even though the hotel is not that old. Such a shame as this hotel could be amazing with a number of changes.

Sawasdee krab! Thank you very much for your taking the time to post here on Trip Advisor. In regards to the deposit upon arrival please accept our apologies as there must have been some kind of misunderstanding. As is internationally accepted, guest are asked for a deposit upon arrival, however guests can sign restaurant bills, spa bills and so on to their room account and that is offset by the deposit. We do not take the deposit just for pool towels. We do hope that we are able to welcome you back again soon and thank you for choosing The SIS Kata. In our first vacation in Thailand, we had the opportunity to stay in this hotel for 12 nights. I can say that everything was perfect, the rooms were cleaned daily, the bed was huge and comfortable, the shower and the toilet were in different areas, the personal care area was equipped with strong enough lights, the air conditioning was quite strong, free wifi, a large balcony with a beautiful view and equipped with a small table and 2 chairs. They also have a Spa and massage salon, very clean and nice designed. Very kind and smiling staff, breakfast adapted to all tastes, and the menu and food in this hotel are very good, beautifully displayed and very tasty. The hotel itself is very nicely arranged with 2 swimming pools, one of them being on the top floor with a superb view and with a bar included where you could serve a cold drink, the other one on a lower floor, much more discreet and nice. The hotel is located near the shops and restaurants of the resort, 5 minutes away from Kata beach and other beaches 15-20 minutes walk. We would like to thank the employees and staff who made us have a nice vacation and leave satisfied and with a recommendation for all those interested. Stay in Style ❤️
