Nestled near Kata beach, The Palmery Resort is celebrated for striking a balance between tranquility and convenience in its location. Its rooms are spacious and well-designed, with private pools that garner appreciation, though there's mention of some needing a touch-up. The hotel's serene atmosphere and cleanliness earn high marks, with the pool areas adding to the overall enjoyment.
Guests commend the staff's warm and professional service, and while most amenities are well-received, a few may require maintenance. The value is generally recognized, especially regarding beach access, albeit with a caveat about potential extra charges for certain services.

Hotel is away from Kata beach, around 10-15 minutes walk from the main crowds
Rooms are like vilas, really big in size and depending on location looking at individual small pools.
Breakfast can get crowded with some variety of choice.
Late checkout comes with a price even if you travel in a group of 5. Nevertheless a shower room is available free of charge and can be booked upon request (cleaned with necessary towels etc)

This was our second location on the trip, so there is something to compare with in general. The hotel is not bad, but quite old. The reception area is beautiful and cozy. But the furniture in the room is quite shabby, but the room itself is very spacious, bright and you can choose the option with access to the pool. The biggest disadvantage of this hotel, for which I removed one star, is the absolute absence of any tasty food. We went for breakfast once and, unfortunately, it did not suit our tastes, as did the only dinner. There is an absolute lack of variety of fruits, only watermelon and pineapple, although this is Thailand and what is very plentiful and cheap there is fruit. For breakfast we went to a cozy Italian coffee shop, Italian Job Coffe, where you can have a very tasty snack and drink wonderful coffee. For lunch or dinner, you can walk to the left side of the hotel, there is an Italian restaurant Pomodorro and Thai cuisine Red Chair. We have never used the transfer to the beach from the hotel, because it is not very convenient... Every 2 hours and the last one leaves at 17.00. We constantly walked on foot to Kata and Kata Noi. I liked Kata Noi even more; in sunny weather, the water there is turquoise, clean and there are waves, which the children really like. In general, the Kata area seemed to me more crowded and provincial than the same Bang Tao, but the sea there is wonderful.

Great clean hotel! The rooms are cleaned well! The breakfasts are good by Thai standards, you definitely won’t leave hungry. Very beautiful green area, large! Decent pool, clean and warm. Because of the large area, you live as if you were alone and only meet everyone at breakfast 👍🏻 there were no insects in the room. In the room there is soap, shampoo, gel, hairdryer, kettle, flip flops, umbrellas, bathrobes, minibar, air conditioning. The beach is a 10 minute quiet walk - the road/sidewalk is good, the hotel has its own parking lot. There is a shuttle to the beach👍🏻 We've been to Thailand 5 times, always 3-4*, this hotel was our favorite. We'll definitely be back

Very comfortable and large rooms. We had a room with access to the pool and it was an interesting experience) There are no living creatures in the room, it is very clean, they clean it thoroughly every day. There is a kettle, tea/coffee, shampoo, shower gel. The room is not humid, things dry well.
The area is not large, but very cozy, quiet, calm and secluded. The feeling that you are alone in the hotel, although at breakfast you realize that you are not)
The hotel is located on a quiet street, but nearby there are shops, massage, cafes, smoothies, laundry, etc. I gave the clothes across the street to the store to wash, 70 baht per kg with ironing, I was satisfied.
I liked the breakfasts. Delicious cuisine, something new every day and even Thai soups - Tom Yum, Tom Kha. They prepare eggs in different forms and waffles, there is never a line. The coffee is good.
The staff is polite as always. Except for the manager with whom I had a conflict.
Still, it’s far from the sea, it’s a 15-minute walk with a child, and the shuttle only runs every 2 hours at inconvenient times - 9,11,13,15,17
The air conditioning in the gym does not work and the treadmill periodically did not work.

Great check-in process which included a complimentary beverage, and each block of rooms having their own pool, right outside was a great and unexpected bonus. The breakfast buffet was quick and delicious and included a custom omelette bar as well as a changing variety of Thai dishes and fresh fruit. The hotel is enough off the beaten path that your not subject to non-stop traffic noise, yet it's a short walk to the food stands, great restaurants, and the beach. When we had difficulty securing a ride to the airport on January 1st, the hotel staff went above and beyond and personally drove us to the airport for the same price as the cab would have been. We would not have made our flight out, otherwise.

We have been staying at the Palmery over the years since the very first day it opened. This recent one week stay was one of our best.
We booked a pool access room and once again it didn’t disappoint. The rooms here are so spacious. You don’t get many hotel rooms this size, especially for the price. You have plenty of space for all of your things and don’t feel claustrophobic like you can in some hotel rooms when you unpack and have all of your luggage and things around. The bed is huge and so comfortable. A lovely chaise lounge for relaxing. Bedding is crisp. Aircon works well. Bathrooms have a separate bath and shower. From the sliding patio doors you walk onto your private sunbathing area with two loungers and two steps down into the pool. Bear in mind that the step in and out of the pool is big so anyone with slight mobility issues may need a hand to steady them as they get in and out. Someone was cleaning the pool each morning as it can gather leaves when windy but it was generally well kept. We had sun all day from about 10 to 5.
We had breakfast included and it was very pleasant. The usual toast, fruit and cereal and teas and coffees and fruit juices. And egg and waffle station where eggs and waffles were cooked to order. The breakfast restaurant is right by the lobby and had a lovely breeze blowing through each morning.
We hired scooters and there was ample parking outside for us. We also used Bolt taxis for the first time in Phuket this year and they all picked up from the hotel no problem. The hotel is set back from the busy beach road but the hotel run a shuttle service every couple of hours to the beach. We didn’t use it. There are plenty of bars and cafes and restaurants in walking distance too. The red chair which is a 2 minute walk does the best Thai Food.
The staff here were very polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Any small query we had was handled efficiently and effectively.
We didn’t want to leave The Palmery as we really did have such a great stay. We can’t wait to go back and stay again soon.

Disastrous experience to say the least and now I'll list the reasons, I'll start by saying that I was chosen and convinced by the agency because it "seemed" to be of a good level from the reviews and also very close to the kata centre.
Having said that.. if you are Italian this is not the hotel for you.
Hotel with 90% reviews from international customers who certainly have different aesthetic and ambience tastes from us Italians, forgive the patriotism but alas there are situations where Italian taste is perceived and in this case it is very evident.
Let's start from the room: Old, poor daily cleaning (they don't wash but sweep with a sorghum broom, the one made of wood so to speak) Noisy air conditioning, stained cushions inside the room, bed with wooden edge (classic Japanese bed) worn and eaten, earthen flooring with detached 50 x 50 bricks, moves as you pass by, bathroom without window with mini sink, mirror dirty and old, dirty shower corners. Wall NOT soundproof. Entrance directly from the room to the swimming pool (shared with other rooms) old swimming pool, dirty on the edges, the only "nice" to have direct entrance from the sliding window from the 90s that divides the room with the outside. Terrible international breakfast, eggs, bacon, boiled rice, chicken, some croissants and bread for toast, some micro yogurt and fruit.
The highlight of this wonderful experience was the lack of water to shower and flush the toilet one morning.
The only note, but believe me the only one, is the kindness of the staff and the proximity on foot (8/10 min) to the center of Kata. For the rest, I suggest to every Italian who reads this review that they are satisfied with a mediocre stay in an old and outdated structure. under suitable conditions to try it, I personally will not recommend it. Always pay attention to the reviews, the opinions of the Italian are always very detailed and of fundamental value to perceive the quality of the structure.

We were a group of and got two rooms for a week. The staff was so kind, attentive, and prompt. Our bell boy was soooooooooooooo friendly and kind. We chatted with him everyday we saw him and he took care of all of our luggage, all 8 suitcases. The rooms are clean, spacious, and we had a private pool that was shared with our neighbors. It felt like we were living in quiet apartments. It was nice not having anyone above us and I feel like that contributed to the quiet. There is a building full of rooms that is two stories. The large public pool butts this building and it has a deeper section in the center with two kid friendly pools on both sides. I love Thai breakfast and I appreciated the many selections they offered and change in breakfast every day we were here. There is also a few shuttle to Kata Beach and Karon Beach. The location is great with shops, massage parlors, and restaurants all throughout. It's on a curved street and is pretty quiet. The night market is also a 30 min walk or 7 min by car. Kata Beach is a 25 min walk or 5 car ride and Karon been is only 20 min walk away. We rode the tuktuks everyday and it ranged from 200 to 300 baht. Highly highly recommend The Palmery. I am planning to book here again my next trip.

The staff are the Palmery are superb! All staff members were unfailingly and delightfully friendly to us throughout our stay. My wife, son and I would like to give a special mention to the two ladies who are in charge of the restaurant at breakfast time and through the day. They were so genuinely nice that it really added to our enjoyment of our stay. The front desk staff too were really pleasant, courteous, helpful and very professional. My impression was that this is due to the young lady who is the manager, and who leads a really excellent team. Thank you To all of them for a great stay! Our room was clean, bright and comfortable, and the layout around the small canal-type pools gave quite a secluded atmosphere. The location is a shortish walk to the busy Kata beach and there's a 2-hourly shuttle service to there and Karon through the daytime. Nearby restaurants give a good range of Thai and international options. We especially enjoyed the Istanbul Turkish restaurant. Really top-quality food at reasonable prices. If you decide that the bustle of Kata is for you then I highly recommend the Palmery. Thanks to all there again for a lovely stay!

"Two 7-11 close by one up the road and the other down the road towards the beach, very good restaurants along the way, our favourite was 'Melissa' or 'Highway curry'"
