Great rooms, friendly, helpful staff, this massive hotel (I believe somewhere in the region of 550 rooms) is amazing.
Don't let that amount of rooms put you off, the grounds are also huge, so you are rarely sat on top of someone else.
We stay one week in this hotel and it is very very nice and well maintained. The workers are very friendly. Just be aware that this is a family hotel and the the hotel do not have a own beach! If you want a sun-bed...More
We went and stayed 10 nights in a Jnr. Poolside suite, for the ridiculous price we payed which was considered good by family and friends whom had stayed there previously the room was dated the bathroom mouldy and would smell, the ground were beautiful however...More
I actually stayed at this location with two coworkers (triple accommodation) over five years ago but have never forgotten what a beautiful and relaxing resort it was. From the other reviews, sounds like it is still worthwhile. Seemed a bit of a distance from the...More

Hi!, we were just there with my 4 and 10 year old and it was the best choice. The pools are great for the kids with great temperatures and the Katathani has a kids playground that you can't go wrong with. The hotel caters so much to the kids from food (if they're picky eaters) to whatever they might need. Just outside of the hotel they have restaurants and little shops along with bars for the adults with happy hour that gladly accept the kids while you sip on adult juice. However you can catch a taxi or tuk tuk (which is more fun for the kids) for a 5 minutes ride to kata there they have plenty of bars, restaurants market like shops and street food (my kids loved trying out all the fried ice cream flavors they saw and it was completely safe) at kata my kids also enjoyed a quick fish massage just for the experience and the street animals like the small monkeys and lemurs. Katathani is definitely a much better choice! Hope this helped =)
