We arrived at this hotel expecting something mediokre as there were some average reviews. We were on a budget. After arriving from a late flight we were suprised to be arriving at such a lovely resort. The staff were very welcoming and escorted us to our spacious room. Air conditioning, large bed, clean shower and dimmable lights provided a romantic...

The apartment we were given was very nice and large with good modern decor. We also had a fabulous view down to the sea. There was a very strong smell throughout the apartment though. I'm not sure what this was but it might have been something to keep the insects out. It was quite overpowering and I woke up several...

Stayed at Aspasia for 4 nights and was pleased enough to leave. The view from my room was beautiful and the pools also nice and very clean. A couple of the staff were nice but some also very unhelpful, especially if you asked about tours etc. Much that was promised in the info was not provided, the track to the...

We were recommended this resort by an expat living in Patong (we moved to The Aspasia from another resort). His local knowledge paid off, it's an awesome resort. The rooms are huge and of a high standard, but the highlight is the balconies overlooking the ocean. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The restaurant and pool service is also...

The hotel is perched on top of a hill. Perfect for anyone who may have acute Tsunamiphobia. There is a path down the back of the hotel to the beach for the mountaineering type (prepare for wet feet), or if not so adventurous you can walk down the steep hill in the front of the hotel to the beach or...

We stayed in Kata this year. Beautiful and spacious acommodation which was very pleasant and relaxing. Pool was nice and staff were very friendly. Breakfast was a bit basic and hit and miss but to stay at a hotel like this for the price paid was a real opportunity. It was off peak and it rained a bit. Mosquitos were...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Recently created in the south of the island of Phuket, The Aspasia is a stylish boutique resort reflecting an unusual retro-deco design with hints of Mayan style architecture. The muted yellow and green hues of the buildings blend exotically with the colours of the lush forest that sweeps down to Kata Beach. Each secluded apartment has stunning sea views, and guests only have a two minute walk to the white, sandy beach below. With the accent firmly lying on tranquility, comfort and contemporary style, The Aspasia Phuket offers a choice of superior accommodation and facilities that includes restaurant, a wine and cigar shop, two swimming pools, a gymnasium, business centre, meeting room, high-speed wireless Internet access and spa. Original paintings and antiques are displayed in the spa, restaurant and lobby, complementing the style of decor. There is easy access between the twelve buildings and facilities forming the resort. The property is set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens, filled with colourful tropical planting. ... more   less
