Stayed for three nights in a very nice twin room, I loved the filter coffee in the room. Our hosts were extremely pleasant and nothing was too much for them and everything was done with a smile and cheerful manor. We ate there each evening and cannot fault the food but the highlight for me was the breakfast, no request...

Third visit this year whilst walking in the area. Again a most enjoyable walkers lunch ,we were only halfway round an eight mile route. The beer was excellent and sensibly priced and the lunch well presented and much enjoyed.Friendly staff so what else could one expect. Well done Chetnole Inn a country pub that does what it says on the...

Regularly use the Chetnole where Simon and Marie always make us welcome, and, no matter how busy, always find a table. Food is excellent value, staff very friendly, all you want in a country pub. Have never used the rooms, we're only two villages away, but have spoken to folk who have, always seemed pleased with accommodation available.

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst attending a wedding in Sherborne, we had a very warm welcome from the owners Maria & Simon. The food was fantastic quality and freshly prepared. The room was very clean, comfortable and had everything you needed. Great wi fi which is must these days. We would have no hesitation recommending a stay here.

Used this charming little Hotel as an overnight stop over once again. Excellent room, clean and comfortable. Good restaurant with an ample menu and wine list, and good service. Would definitely recommend.

We have just moved in to the area and been told how good the local pub is. On a Thursday night the pub was less than half full yet the service was friendly but slow. The food was OK at best, for the price not good value for money at all. Nearly £13 for a pie that has cold chips,...

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We were very dissapointed to hear you did not enjoy your meal at the Chetnole. We pride ourselves on offering good service and value for money which, judging by the feedback we receive we do achieve. We would always ask customers if they are not happy with any aspect of...

I stayed for two nights and ate dinner twice. This is perhaps more of a 'restaurant with rooms' than a pub but it still has an extensive and colourful local trade. Comfortable, well-furnished room. The owners and staff were very friendly and welcoming but also very professional. Their answer if I asked for anything out of the ordinary (and I...

We ate at the Chetnole inn on a friends recommendation we weren't disappointed! The food was very reasonable in price and very well cooked and presented! Our only slight complaints were that the meals varied slightly in appearance and quantity on 2 different days maybe a different chef perhaps? The belly pork came without crackling the first time it was...
