I stayed there one night. Well the room looks like it had been broken into once. The beds looked dirty, we put dirty t-shirts over the pillowcases because we didn't want to sleep on them. We checked the mattress for bugs, we didn't use the bathrooms. We checked out as soon as we could so we could meet up with... More

No TV, no air conditioning, parking too small, rooms are deplorable; my first and last visit to this place. Not recommending it to no one. Not worth at all. It was a mistake reserving in this badly call hotel.

So if you're looking for a damp little getaway and you want to pick up some respiratory problems, then look no further .........this is the resort for you! I stayed here, with my boyfriend, as part of an organised trip. If Eco- Friendly means sticky floors, damp beds, no hot showers, stained and smelly pillows, rundown surroundings and general gloominess,... More

I had the misfortune of staying in this place for two nights, with my partner, as part of an organised tour. The room was damp, dirty, smelly and in disrepair. The location was terrible and the general upkeep of the place was dire. The rooms are actually only a 30 second walk from the beach but the owners have made... More

We stayed here as part of a group trip, and most of us got ill! The rooms were dark and depressing, painted with gloomy colours. Because the rooms were so damp, we all felt grotty and ill and our clothes stank. The place has great potential, but makes nothing of it. Although it's in the jungle, everything looks all grubby... Stayed here with my wife for a vacation. It is a family managed resort, with a separate owner. It is right on the beach outside of puerto viejo. A nice quiet location with a nice beach, great food and service. The resort itself is tired and in need of some repair. The room was okay. Bare bones, with a nice... More

I am having the most wonderful time at Camarona Caribbean Lodge in Cocles. This is an eco-friendly hotel where you can see and hear the caribbean sea all the time. My room has a view of the rain forest right to where it meets the sea. There are pathways in the hotel grounds where local students have posted signs to... More

We booked this even after reading the reviews on trip advisor...and to be fair I think the other reviews have been more than generous....yes the location is good, if you want to be right on the beach and miles from town. Although the draw back is there isn't much nearby and there is little choice in the way of decent... More

Thank you for your observations. We are a hotel of a rural and ecological tourism and not a luxurious hotel, however, if you were to notify us of your concerns in due time at our reception, we would have assigned you a superior room with air conditioning and not a standard room the one which you reserved online. The rooms... More

The Camarona has one of the best locations in Cocles, but seems to have stopped in time because they realize that the facilities and rooms are in need of reform, a place with beautiful nature there would need an investment in its infrastructure. The people working are kind and thoughtful, if they can transform perception Camarona a great place to... More

This was my second time in this hotel, some say human is the only ˜animal˜ that makes a mistake the same way twice. I agree.
