    Shouldn't be a problem as long as the Elephants don't come by. I would not be making the journey without a decent 4x4 though. locals do it in a small bus but wont be pleasant.

    I wouldn't advise bringing your own car. The road is often washed out, and once your get there, you won't be driving around (there are locked gates). And you still need to coordinate entry with DVFC in Lahad Datu and get a... More
