Good hotel. Several buildings with numbers. The room was in the farthest building, where the exit is on the other side of the hotel grounds. It was quiet, no noise from the road. The room is in good condition, it is clear that it is not new. But everything worked, in the room there was soap, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, hygienic shower, toilet paper, hair dryer, shower cap, towels. Bed linen and towels are changed every day, cleaning every day. The room also has a safe, free wi-fi, kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, cups and glasses, two bottles of still water, and a refrigerator. There is a TV, but we didn't watch it. The downside is probably the translucent partition from the bathroom to the room. The beach is across the street from the hotel, 5 minutes walk. On the beach, sun loungers and umbrellas cost 200 baht. You can bring your own too. The beach is large, there is plenty of space. The sea is good, there were waves, not strong but constant. There were also small jellyfish. Near the hotel within walking distance there are many cafes, currency exchange kiosks, fruit shops, shops with everything you need. Moped rental.

The Holiday Inn in Phuket offers a fantastic family-friendly experience with a variety of amenities tailored for children. Highlights include three swimming pools—two lively ground-floor pools and a serene rooftop pool—along with a range of activities available until 11:00 PM. The attentive staff enhances the overall enjoyment of the stay.
The hotel features accessible routes and facilities for ADA guests, along with bars at each pool and a cozy cinema room for family movie nights. While located on the outskirts of town, access to the beach is convenient, and plans for improved pedestrian safety are underway.
Although the rooms are average and could use upgrades, the hotel is actively working on improvements without disturbing guests. Overall, the Holiday Inn in Phuket is highly recommended for families seeking a fun and comfortable getaway.

We were disappointed in our stay at Destination Karon. The property is in disrepair, generally needing some care. Staff didnt allow us to check in early, despite arriving at 11am (3pm checkin here). We later realised that the hotel is obviously lacking housekeeping staff, as our rooms were only cleaned once before 4pm. Often had to ask for water, towels , even toilet paper! On our second day, we had zero water to our room for two hours. Reported it to front desk staff, and problem wasn't rectified until my husband went and found a maintenance man himself (he wasnt told about the issue from front staff). Received a note at checkin re: repairs taking place. Who knows how long this has been occurring or will continue for? The private plunge pool rooms seem like they're out of order at the moment. Be aware that these aren't private at all. Upstairs balcony looks over, as does walkway to rooms. Easy to take a nice pool photo here, IF you avoid the unsightly parts (broken pool decking, construction sheeting and green algae in pool). The property seems popular with European families. Wouldn't recommend for couples. We liked the location on Karon but wouldn't stay here again.

We stayed from March 10 to March 20, 2024. The hotel is wonderful. The reception staff, maids, cooks and restaurant staff, the “helper” to cross the road - everyone is very responsive, pleasant, smiling. The room has everything (from toothbrushes to a bathrobe). Towels and linen are (partially) changed every day. Breakfast is excellent (cereals, meat, fruits, vegetables, yoghurts, eggs in different varieties, etc.) The sea is across the road. Shops, cafes and exchange offices are 5-10 minutes around the lake. The hotel leaves a very warm feeling. We really enjoyed. I think we'll be back again. Thank you.

Nice family hotel, near a very calm and picturesque beach. Located at the very beginning of the beach, there are few people on the beach and clean, you need to cross a busy road to the beach, but there was no difficulty with this. The hotel is very child friendly, there is a kids club, various activities, foam parties.

Good day everyone, I present a detailed review of the Holiday Inn Phuket 4* hotel on Karon Beach: I am currently in this hotel, for 9 days from Anex tour, with breakfast, Red Wings charter flight, the tour costs 220 thousand for 2 people. Excellent four-star hotel, experience in Thailand 8 times, excellent breakfasts, very varied, not typical of Thailand, rather 5* level Turkey, where there is a lot of everything (national cuisine, bacon, eggs, pancakes, yoghurts, fresh juices, fruits, cereals and etc.). About the hotel: a deposit of $100 is not charged, a small thing, but nice, the rooms are good, some are a little tired in some places, not critical, comfortable beds, air conditioning, all the necessary cosmetics from shampoo to cream, excellent quality, no need to bring anything with you, a small thing , but nice, hairdryer, TV, refrigerator, safe. 3 swimming pools, one is currently under renovation, there is a slide, they are constantly cleaning/painting/repairing something, the guys at the reception will help, they will give advice, they will solve any problem. For children: there is a children's room, animators, children are always busy, in general the hotel is 100% suitable for children. Beach: 5 minutes from the hotel, very convenient, cross 2 micro bridges and you’re there, sun loungers and umbrella 200 baht, you can save, buy a mat for 200 baht and lie on it on your towel. Infrastructure: to the left of the hotel, 7 minutes leisurely around a small lake, currency exchange, food, pharmacy, massages, along the entire Karon beach, everything you want. Travel: You can take a taxi, there are tuk-tuks everywhere, you can buy a local SIM card for 500 baht, download the InDrive application and call a taxi from anywhere and anywhere much cheaper, everything is in Russian. Excursions: I’ve been everywhere, the choice is great, there are sea excursions, there are jungles, there are shows, elephants, I highly recommend the Similan Islands, you won’t regret it)) In general, I recommend the hotel, the main thing is a positive attitude, don’t pay attention to the little things, people don’t go to Thailand to sit in a hotel and swim in a pool, this is not that kind of country, explore, try, look, there is a lot to see and try! !!!!

Rooms were good and clean Food and drink at the hotel are very expensive by Thailand standard and the pools are dirty . We were a party of 20 staying out of which 10 became sick with influenza. Our room was cleaned ok but others in our group had to chase every day to get their rooms cleaned . Location is at the very edge of town next to a very busy road no shops near by and it’s a walk to the town at least 15 min. Beach is close by but you have cross the very busy road to get there . The hotel has put someone on to stop the traffic but you can still be waiting for some time before getting across . This was not a cheap hotel I would have expected better admittedly I did no research as it was booked by others in our group . I came away feeling ripped off

First impression of the hotel was not good as construction was going on in the lobby. Dont know why management schedule it rather off season. Pool area was great. Saw some tiles in the pool broken, but otherwise a lovely area to relax with a great offering of food and drink. The little sport bar with pool table was also fun and spend time there playing pool with kids during happy hour. Food in general at the resort was of high standard. Rooms were good and clean. Housekeeping are under staffed and struggle to keep up with standards as they came around 4/5 pm to clean. The garden facing the rooms at the back of the hotel need urgent attention. It can be such a lovely space by just putting a little effort into it. A few pot plants and weekly upkeep will make huge difference. All and all, it was a good stay. Well located and can be recommended. Stayed for 6 nights, 2 rooms.

Great hotel on Karon! Good 4ka*! Wonderful friendly staff, cozy rooms, green area, swimming pool, just a stone's throw from the sea. We were always led across the road by a man with a flag, which is no less important. There, further on in Karon, in the hotels, the beach looks like in Anapa, there are a lot of people. We relaxed thanks to the location of the hotel at the very beginning of the beach where there are very few people) Nearby there is a beautiful lake past which you can take a promenade every evening on the way to the cafe. I definitely recommend a holiday here!☺️

When I called with this question I was quoted 475 THB daily per person inclusive of taxes. Kids are free with paying adults. However, when there in person I was given a better rate to pre-purchase breakfasts at a cost of 260 THB per person. There may not be any advantage of purchasing it ahead of arrival. To be honest I didn't think their breakfasts were that good and if you agree you'll be stuck with it. Might be worth trying once and then if you're happy go ahead and pre-purchase the rest.
We didn't get the drinks package however they do have happy hours every day and other deals. When I stayed last month they had an offer where if you prepay set amounts onto your bill you get 1000 Baht (AU$50) credit per 4000 Baht (AU$200) spent. It may be worth checking if that offer is still running. You can use that credit on anything in the resort (no external tours/transport though). There's also an incentive where if you forfeit your daily room servicing they give you 200 Baht (AU$10) credit per day to spend in the resort facilities.
There are more places to choose from in the Karon area.
