We stayed at Baan Famui for a night. It was in December before heading to Doi Ang Kang the next morning. The stay was truly pleasant - room, food, surroundings, simply everything was just perfect. There was nothing so luxurious or super fancy but we were touched by the hospitality of the owner, Mui. She was really caring and sincere...

We spent five nights here. Damien and Mui and their beautiful daughter were wonderful and warm hosts. The rooms were very comfortable. The setting is beautiful. We don't travel for sightseeing and nightlife. We want to get away from noise and commotion and swarms of tourists. This place was just what we were looking for.

We spent two wonderful nights here. The bungalows were great and the views across the valley just beautiful. Our hosts, Damien and Mui, were great. Picking us up from the bus station and taking us to a local market. Mui's cooking was fantastic and it was especially good to have meals made from our market purchases. Would love to return...

Stayed here for 2 nights and the hospitality and food were top notch. Beautiful bungalow/cabins overlooking a valley were great to wake up to and a common area with a firepit to visit and relax in at night. The food was so so good, to the point where I would say it was the best I had during my 3+...

This is a wonderful place up in the mountains. The accommodation is superb with a wonderful view. The owner and his wife are friendly and helpful. Food is also good. We stayed 2 nights but will go back and stay for longer as the ambience is just so so relaxing. Unbeatable as a get away from it all place.

We came up to Chiang Dao, from Chiang Mai, to visit the Angkhang Royal Project. Baan Famui seemed like a nice place to stay, but we were really surprised. They're located just outside Chiang Dao in the country side, so we were expecting something a bit more basic. What we found was a room with the most comfortable beds, wonderful...

My fiance Andy and I live in Chiang Mai and we motorbiked to Baan Famui for a loved up Valentine's holiday in the mountains. It was so good! Our large bungalow was extremely clean and it had the most comfortable bed I've slept in in about two years. You can watch the sunrise and set from your big private balcony....

We had the good fortune to spend 7 nights at beautiful Baan Famui. If we didn’t have other arrangements firmly in place, we would have stayed for another week at least. The spotless bungalow was private with an amazing view of the countryside. We had no trouble getting around because Damien was the quintessential host. He provided transport to and...

My wife and baby and I stayed for two nights at Baan Famui after spending two weeks in Chiang Mai. What a difference! We felt immediately the peace and tranquillity of the place (and had two solid nights of sleep). What really made our stay special was Damien and his family, who were very friendly and welcoming. We were lucky...

My husband and I just spent 3 nights at Baan Famui and wish our stay had been longer. After more then 2 weeks of over stimulation visiting cultural and urban centers in Thailand it was time to relax in the country. Reaching Baan Famui from Chiang Mai was easy: local buses to Chiang Dao leave every half hour from the...
