Stayed at Hotel van Balveren for 1 night before a meeting in nearby Tiel. Easy to find, and lots of parking. The hotel room was nothing out of the ordinary, clean, bed, TV, and a hot, powerful shower. No iron or fridge, but with the price I wasn't expecting them! There is a large, impressive church next to the hotel,...

There is not one thing I could say bad about this place. Owners, rooms, breakfast, lunch packages..... just everything. And cherry for the end.. FOOD.... I have never ever ate such a great, fresh, tasty and natural food. It's a must see location in this part of Holland! Cheers, Igor K.

This hotel is simply aweful. The rooms are basic with paper thin walls, the breakfast is terrible and lacking, the staff is rude and everything is overpriced. Don't ruin your night and make sure you stay somewhere else.

Great location if like for us you have friends marrying in the castle next door. We were given one of two family rooms, which after climbing metal steps up the side of the building we walked across what felt like a flat roof to a room opposite a church, of which the bells chimed every half hour....that's the bad bit........

Stayed here after a wedding and found the rooms to be clean and equipped to a 3* standard, though dated. But the beds were comfy, despite having 2 singles pushed together. Breakfast was very good. A nice continental selection with a few treats and the service was efficient and friendly (remarkable for NL) The surrounding area is quite lovely and...

Although not the most up-to-date hotel, it suites fine for one or two nights. The rooms are well equipped but don't expect any modern stuff. The shower is in need of some refurbishing but works fine. The hotel is situated next to a church, so be prepared for some bells at night if you have a room at that side...

...but pretty spartan on the inside. We stayed one night for wedding at the castle next door. The building is quite lovely and the staff were nice enough, but the (basement) room was surprisingly spartan, especially given the 100 Euro rate. Not a great value, but the best option for stumbling into a bed from the castle after a wedding...

The place itself is beautiful but the rooms are way overprized (110 euro for a two person (single beds) room from 12m2. Breakfast is very expensive 14,5 euro per person. Room itself crappy, to soft bed, broken shower and curtain was missing. And the room had a 10" tv. All and all if you still haven't booked - reconsider :-)...

Beautiful Hotel situated in a very quite village of Echtfeld.if you like restfull place this would suit. Very freindly and helful staff. The room was very clean and tidy with its own batroom but would have been nice to have that little touch of its own toiletries.A modern TV would have been nice too Breakfast was very enjoyable with fresh...

I was here for a conference. It's a small hotel. The staff really tries to make something out of it. The total ambiance is nice, but the rooms are very basic and old. My room was located in the basement, see picture. It was one of the most unpleasant rooms I ever stayed in, a very small window, which could...
