Stayed here whilst doing the West Island Way room was basic yet funtional only 1 critisim would be that the curtains were far too thin so was woken up extremely early by the sun apart from that we had a comfy stay. Welcoming owner and a fantastic and quirky Russian breakfast which was delicious.

I was a member of a party of 10 who booked for dinner, a very strange experience. the fixed price menu looked ok, but the beef patties (2) were obviously not freshly cooked and was barely warm,I did not eat the other one. This was noticed by the staff and a compensatory vodka appeared. The Goulash was ok, just not...

This is not a restaurant review, this is a slaughter of my authentic business written by a racist. He is trying to sound authoritative but in fact he is ignorant and patronizing. It is a shame that TRIPADVISER provides a perfect platform for these sort of people. Now TRIPADVISER, publish that if you have any guts!

Stayed here while attending a BBQ at the marina. The owner welcomed us with a complimentary drink and told us all about his range of Russian beers and vodkas, did not get to eat in the restaurant, but some of our friends who did were extremely impressed. The baked breakfast is truly superb, and was way better than expected. Will...

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a great weekend. We were welcomed by the owner and offered a drink on the house. He explained all about the ales and speciality vodkas. The bar is full of Russian artefacts and the has beautiful views of the sea and the yachts in the bay. Our room was small and basic...

This hotel seems to polarise reviewers! We really enjoyed our stay. It's true that the bedrooms are fairly basic, but ours was perfectly adequate and very reasonably priced. People have moaned about having a separate entrance for the bedrooms, but it's quite clear from the website that this is how it's set up, and I can't see why it would...

Disappointed in the bedroom, up the side street, not actually in the hotel. Smelt a bit damp. Breakfast not good, not much of a choice. Lady owner delightful, gentleman aloof, We stayed here before we moved to Bute.

Around Port Bannatyne yacht marina are ancient stone cottages, a golf course, and this little inn run by a Russian family. The views across the sea from the restaurant are fabulous. The guestrooms are small, simple and cosy. Not a place for those seeking a luxury hotel but it's the cheapest place on the Isle of Bute and great for...

I've stayed twice. The family room is OK but the double I had the second time was frankly depressing. On the other hand, the russian breakfasts are far and away the best I've ever had in any hotel or B&B.
