Fantastic food, cool, spacious, comfortable and clean rooms. Regina and her staff are most hospitable. Many birds to see. You are in the middle of God's beautiful creation. If you are seeking serenity and departure from the hustle and bustle, Cuffie River is the place. It is only a 30-minute drive from the Airport. Regina organised a 3-4 hour hike...

We stayed at the wonderful Cuffie River Retreat back in 2008 and returned with friends for a visit last month. It is as magical as ever....beautifully maintained, in a gorgeous setting. Regina Dumas is the perfect host. The food is amazing, cooked using her vast array of home-grown veggies. And we even played table tennis with Regina's husband, Earl! Cuffie...

While my wife and I were in Trinidad & Tobago, and after we stayed for 5 nights at the Asa Wright Nature Center in Trinidad, we flew over to Tobago for a three night stay. Our travel agent, Caligo Tours (whom I recommend highly for birding trips), arranged for our stay in Tobago. We had a choice between Blue Waters...

We stumbled across the restreat when scouring the web for places to walk and spot a few birds. We cannot speak too highly of Regina's help in arranging our morning walk. Desmond the guide was both knowledgeable and convivial on our trek. We were welcomed back with a truly memorable lunch watching the parrots and hummingbirds. A great day out.

We spent a day at Cuffie River and what a wonderful place nestled in a valley 15 mins drive from where we were staying in Castara. The guide we had Desmond was fantastic and showed us around the Rainforest finding many species of birds including the elusive White Tailed Nightjar and a beautiful tour around the grounds of the retreat...

I can't say enough positive things about our experience at Cuffie River. We found the pictures and description of the property extremely accurate. The lodge is beautifully constructed and decorated, and we loved the constant breezes passing through our room and being lulled to sleep by the sound of the rain on the tin roof. Our hostess, Regina, was absolutely...

We had an outstanding stay at this lodge. The setting is beautiful and quiet, the room was perfect, and the food was excellent. We were the only guests at this time; some people might find this unappealing, but we really enjoyed being just the two of us. The manager and staff were friendly but also allowed us plenty of privacy...

My husband and I just returned from a 3 night stay during a birding tour. The eco-lodge is beautiful, welcoming and has a magical quality about it. Much of the lodge is open to the outdoors, which is stunningly beautiful and private. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly, and the owner Regina very welcoming. The lodge is small...

Our Rough Guide to Tobago informed us about this retreat. We also received a recommendation from friends, and discovered the favourable reviews on TA. We were not disappointed. Taking advice we made reservations with the owner, Regina, a charming person who met us on arrival. After a short walk checking out some of the rich bird life nearby, and then...
