Stayed here for a long week-end whilst attending a nearby race event. On arrival we were met by our friendly host Veronique who gave us drinks before showing us to our accommodation which we found to be comfortable and adequate for our stay. Each morning we partook of the continental breakfast which was deliciously fresh and filling. We stayed for...

We booked the Cottage "Rose de Provins" and we enjoyed our stay tremendously. The owner was warm and welcoming. Reasonable English, so no problems communicating. She realised the 3rd person in our party was 4 years old, and of her own volition charged us less for the breakfast and booked dinner (with a special menu for our daughter). The food,...

We thought this B&B would be a quicker drive to Epernay. The location seemed to be a little remote for first time visitors to the area. The room was well maintained, clean and comfortable. We had some difficulty finding it with both Navagon and the 2014 Toyota navigation system. Veronique was a good hostess, and friendly with reasonable English skills....

The previous reviews say it all: warm and friendly owners, beautiful house, delicious homemade food (especially the breakfast jams!). On Saturday, we rented bikes and took with us a picnic prepared by Mrs Culligan who advised us to visit nearby town (almost 6km) Jouarre. In Jouarre, you'll find a family-run Brie cheese dairy that is a must to visit. Champagne...

This trip was a gift for me and it was really nice. Clos de la Rose was planned to be our hotel for 2 nights to visit the area of Champagne and a bit around. We have been in the Champagne already before, so Clos de la rose opened a new area for us. The hotel is charming, very friendly...

We stayed for five days this past month (June 2013) at the Clos de la Rose, a picturesquely set house and garden surrounded by stone walls. We arrived mid afternoon and were warmly greeted by Veronique, (our host) with an offer of a beverage served in a lovely garden. After we relaxed and finished our tea, Veronique showed us into...

We stayed in Clos de la Rose the long weekend from 18-20 May 2013. The B&B is simply magnificent. Not only does it have a beautifully kept garden, its rooms and interiors are immaculate and very stylish and cosy. Véronique and Brendan welcomed us with a drink and where very helpful during the weekend to plan little excusions into the...

My wife and I had the massive pleasure of staying at Véronique and Brendan's wonderful guesthouse whilst we were in France for a friend's wedding. As we were heavily involved in the wedding proceedings, having somewhere peaceful and comfortable to return to was such a massive joy. The house is beautiful - amazingly decorated, so very comfortable and welcoming. The...

I don't want to write this review as I don't want anybody else to go the Clos de la Rose. I want it to remain my secret because it is simply incredible. Veronique and Brendan have a beautiful country house that is furnished and decorated tastefully and with a personal touch. We spent two nights here. The room was bright,...
