An avid traveler myself, I don usually post a review. But this trip to dhigufaru Island needs to be told. Most horrible service and staff..If you are white skinned with dollars, you are in heaven I suppose. Say you are Asian, You are rejected on your face. All through our 3 day stay, not once did the staff attend to us or behave appropriately.. Made faces and spoke under breathe in their local language whenever asked about anything... Though we checked TripAdvisor reviews before our trip, our agent assured us many of the negative reviews don hold value. Truth be told? DO NOT WASTE YOUR LIFE OR MONEY ON THIS STUPID RESORT. Pick anything else..absolutely anything else...you will probably have a better luck..

An experience which will stay in my heart forever.Started with a bit of a hiccup though as we were informed by the seaplane guys(TMA) that our luggage would be sent later.Nevertheless,we checked into our veli pool villas. The kids(ages 19,12) were excited to have their separate room. Day1-We freshened up and went to explore the island. It is so gorgeous that I dont have words to describe it.The beach is beautiful and the colors of the ocean are endless and keep changing at different times of the day.We enjoyed the most glorious sunset and gorged on the dinner buffet while enjoying the views of the full moon and the waves right next to our table. The servers were attentive and warm, the food was delicious and the balmy ocean breeze was soul soothing. Day2-We headed post breakfast for the dolphin cruise after a peaceful night's rest.We spotted countless dolphins and it was a euphoric moment indeed. What an experience! Snorkeling is always top in our list and that's what we did next. The arrival jetty area is what we explored and we were not disappointed.Numerous fishes were sighted by us and we used our own full face snorkeling masks which made it easier and fun.The water in this area is not choppy at all and very good for snorkeling. The sunset on this day also was surreal and we happily clicked pics at the beautiful sandbank. Day 3-We moved to our bodhanfulhu(overwater) pool villas which are the epitome of luxury.Neat well designed rooms, plenty of outdoor space and the infinite ocean right in front of us.The odd numbered villas have a sunset view and we were lucky to get both with that. The kids enjoyed swimming between the two villas and having fun in both the pools.Snorkeling wasn't that great on our side, though. We visited the mantas in the evening which arrive like clockwork at 5pm daily. There was an event at the bar that night with live music and it was the best way to end a beautiful day. Day 4-We snorkeled near the games area today and it was fantastic. The sea is full of corals here(most are sadly, dead) and countless varieties of fishes. We also saw some sharks and some fish eggs as well.In the evening, we headed for the sunset fishing excursion and returned victorious with a huge catch.Between the 4 of us,we caught over 20 fishes. We enjoyed our last dinner there and the buffet was fab with tremendous variety.Later,we chilled at the viewing area and enjoyed watching the marine life by night. All in all,the most incredible holiday ever! Special mention-Ally Adam(manager) who ensured that everything was well taken care of, right till the moment of departure Sharuvaan-for his help and guidance Sayana-our personal guide on the island Servers-Anees,Haazim,Hassan,Nihadh,Niuna,Saanih

This was the best holiday ever. The resort was beautiful, the sea life amazing and the staff and service second to none. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone and the food was excellent all the time apart from the Chinese jelly with white fungus… interesting!!! Shoutouts to Sam and Niuna in the restaurant, Sharon and Grace in the pool bar and all the housekeeping guys including their manager who gave us a beautiful anniversary gift. The dolphin watching was brilliant. We will definitely be back and would recommend to everyone. Thank you

From the day of arrival, we started feeling cheated and felt disappointed with the behaviour of hotel staff specially the front desk staff. During our entire stay they kept on making false promises and did not entertained our any of the issue till the last moment. Food and restaurant staff behaviour were average. Front staff behaviour was terribly rude and unethical. Hotel management was least bother to entertain any issue we try to convey. They promise to clean the rooms twice the day but they neither clean nor change the towels and other bathroom utilities which supposed to be replaced on daily basis, even after making several complains to management staffs till the last day of stay. Regretfully we had to write that despite of enjoying our honeymoon we had sit at front office with our unsolved issues. Hotel did not provided the gesture of honeymoon couple which they promise. Overall they didn't make you feel comfortable to enjoy your vacation and/or Honeymoon. We felt cheated since the very moment we stepped in the property. One would never miss the Fake smile of front desk staff specially NASH with no intention to entertaining your issue. We paid for all inclusive package which was our biggest mistake in fact we are feeling the choosing this property (DHIGU FARU) itself was our biggest mistake. Since we opted All Inclusive package they provided us worst in class of liquor. I STRONGLY will NOT recommend this "Dhigu Faru" for anyone's Holiday/Honeymoon destination.

Worst experience ever. Worst food. Half cooked. Less vegetarian options. Not edible. Really not worth a penny. Staff also not cooperative. Chef not listening to us. Not recommended for Indians. No sense of respect for guests. Worst experience ever
