Furaveri Maldives is celebrated for its pristine cleanliness and spacious rooms, although a few guests suggest the rooms could benefit from an update. The resort's vibrant atmosphere and proximity to the ocean make it a hit, though the presence of lively children is occasionally noted. The staff's dedication to service receives high marks for creating a personalized experience. While the array of amenities, including water sports and spa services, are popular, guests have called out extra charges, finding the resort on the pricier side.

Our best experience on Furaveri was two dives (as beginners) with dive guide Ahmed. We were hesitant at first whether we had the confidence to dive. However, we were accompanied into the dive with so much calm and professionalism that the doubts quickly disappeared into thin air. Thanks for that! The underwater experience was incomparably beautiful - this colorful world full of fish and corals and we even got some photos with "Nemo", i.e. the clownfish. An unforgettable experience. The diving school is great and the staff are extremely friendly throughout.

To the rest of the island: It was our first time in the Maldives and we mostly liked it. The food in all the restaurants available to you at Premium All-Incliusive was very good and you have a huge choice. Even the breakfast buffet in the main restaurant leaves nothing to be desired. The island is very well maintained, the beach beautiful and the reef first class for snorkeling. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Especially our roomboy (cleaning power) greeted us every day with such a good mood and kindness that you feel really welcome. The Sunrise yoga was also a lot of fun for me.

What we didn't like: I expected more from the premium all-inclusive.
You are not allowed to have cocktails in your room and you cannot order them for free. We had a water villa and the restaurant "Amigos" could be reached with a very short walk. Nevertheless, it was not permitted to take the cocktail received there. But wine could get 3 bottles a day for free in your room... I do not understand the system and find it really unsatisfactory for the high travel price.

The second annoying thing is the mandatory reservation of restaurants. If you do not want to eat in the main restaurant (buffet), you have to reserve 24h in advance at the other 3 inclusive restaurants (lunch / dinner). We stopped by both nearby restaurants at the first lunch time and asked quite politely if we could eat a little something even without reservation and were sent away badass - even though all the tables were empty!!! Even when we stopped by an hour later, only half the tables were occupied. I don’t understand this system and really frustrated me the first two days. After that we had made the reservations for each meal time and it was OK. Our assigned island host could have done better by pointing out the problem in very clear terms and asking when we want to eat where.

One last tip: The trip to the "local island", which is included, can be skipped safely, unless you want to buy some nice souvenirs. I learned very little on the trip, but we sat in front of the shops waiting until everyone from the group was done...

It's my second time at the resort, and it's one of the best resorts in the Maldives that I stayed at.

Everything is wonderful in the resort :
-a lot of water and diving activities.
-A good gym and tennis court.
-Yoga classes.
-good varieties of food and restaurants.
- the SPA is just simply amazing.

Big thanks for all the stuff for making our holidays amazing again.

And big thanks to Mrs. Tamanna for the good support and response that she provides during our stay.

We stayed at Furaveri Resort for three nights from December 23rd to celebrate Christmas, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. As many know, Furaveri is an experiential resort, and it lived up to every expectation.

The care and attention we received were incredibly personalized. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and our island host, Hanzy, went above and beyond for us. He was available almost 24/7, educating us about the island’s facilities and sharing insights into the local culture. His dedication and attentiveness were a pleasant surprise and made our stay even more special.

One highlight of our trip was our buggy rides, thanks to Ramesh, one of the buggy drivers. His friendly and genuine personality, along with his unwavering energy, stood out. He was always helpful and patient, and we were amazed by his positivity and dedication—it was truly inspiring.

The restaurant staff made us feel like family. Special thanks to Chabin, Manu, and Stifan, who went out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic dining experience. They kept their personal phones to reserve our table. The food was delicious, with a different variety offered every day. The restaurant manager and chef were meticulous about maintaining quality and cleanliness. Their hard work and consistency were admirable.

All 3 rooms of Garden villa, beach villa and sunrise oven villa was impeccably clean, with fresh linens and well-coordinated housekeeping that never disturbed our stay.

The peaceful environment allowed us to relax completely, and the four days flew by in the most enjoyable way.

We would highly recommend Furaveri Resort. However, we did notice that some premium all-inclusive facilities only offered discounts, which, even after the reduction, were quite expensive.

Tips
Furaveri Resort offers an amazing experience, and you can rest assured that you’re in safe hands during your stay.

Cleanliness:
The resort maintains a high standard of cleanliness, but I did notice a slight smell in the washroom, even though it was very clean. Additionally, if you’re staying in the Garden Villas, you might find small honeybees entering the room when the door is open, which can be a bit annoying.

Villa Maintenance:
The villas could benefit from some exterior repainting and minor repairs to enhance their overall appearance and comfort.

Planning Your Activities:
It’s important to plan your activities in advance to manage costs effectively, as some of the excursions and activities can be quite expensive.

Packing Tips:
Since it’s an island resort, you don’t need to pack much. For men, shorts are perfect, and for women, brief outfits are all you really need for most of your stay.

Premium All-Inclusive Package:
If you opt for the premium all-inclusive package, you’ll enjoy nearly unlimited drinks, making it a great option for those who want to indulge.

Suitability:
This resort is ideal for both honeymoon couples and families, offering a mix of relaxation and activities to suit different preferences.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’re looking forward to visiting again!

Yesterday we returned from this wonderful place, stayed there with my husband. The hotel is good, although the rooms are a little tired, probably due to the climate and the proximity of the ocean. We stayed in a Beach Villa with a swimming pool. Upon arrival, we were checked in, the manager took us around the hotel, showed us everything and left her phone number for us to contact via WhatsApp if we had any requests or questions. We must pay tribute - there was an immediate response to all questions, everything was done instantly - the minibar in the room was replenished, adapters were brought, mosquito repellent was added. Room service twice a day - cleaning during the day, turndown service in the evening (replacing towels, making beds). Our meals were All Inclusive. There was a restaurant on site where you could have breakfast, lunch, dinner, and for dinner every day there was a different cuisine (Asian, Mexican, Mediterranean, Maldivian, etc.). The food is decent, varied, good service. You could visit ala card restaurants by appointment (Mexican and Asian), where there was a three-course menu (free to choose from), or you could order something special separately, but for a fee. Swimming in the sea is a little problematic, there are a lot of corals around, including live ones. At high tide the water reached somewhere waist-deep, at low tide it was knee-deep, and it was impossible to go further because of the corals. It is advisable to take coral slippers. But when choosing a hotel, we focused more on the presence of reefs, so we were not upset by the lack of the opportunity to fully swim. Although there was a place near the diving center where there was less coral, you could go swimming there. Or to the pool. There is a wide variety of different fish on the reef opposite the room. Masks and fins could be rented at the diving center. There are also a lot of different water activities - you can rent a board, fly a parachute from a boat, etc. Every evening they feed sharks on the pier. At the same time, other fish swim in, not just sharks. Overall the hotel is good and worth the money. The only big and fat minus I want to talk about. The main reason why people go to the Maldives is silence. She's not perfect here. Every day from 6 am seaplanes fly, the roar is unreal. I heard that there are hotels where these planes fly to some place further away from the hotel, and less noisy boats take you to the hotel. Maybe the hotel should think about this issue. But in general, apart from this nuance with the seaplane, the hotel is good! Thanks to the staff for a wonderful vacation!!!

We had a memorable stay at Furaveri Hotel while celebrating our honeymoon and my wife's birthday. The arrival from the airport to the resort was smooth and easy, with a beautiful transfer between the airport, seaplane terminal, and resort. Although we had a bit of a wait at the seaplane terminal, the lounge was comfortable with light food and drinks provided, which helped pass the time.

Upon arrival at the resort, we were delighted to see our room decorated for our honeymoon, and they kindly delayed our honeymoon cake to coincide with my wife's birthday, which made the occasion even more special. We are Expedia Gold members, which entitles us to an upgrade if available. Unfortunately, we didn’t get an upgrade, but the hotel offered a great alternative by letting us stay in another room for the last few hours after checkout, essentially a late check-out, which was a nice gesture while we waited for our seaplane.

One thing to keep in mind if you're traveling a long distance (we flew from Canada via Singapore) is to be mindful of what you eat on the first day. The food is clean, but it’s more about your body adjusting to the new environment. Unfortunately, my wife got sick during the first two days, but the staff was very accommodating. We missed a meal because of it, and they kindly rescheduled it for our last day’s lunch, which we really appreciated.

The resort itself is quite large, so walking from one end to the other can take some time. They do have buggies available, but if it’s late, be sure to call one ahead of time as they may not run as frequently during the evening.

If I had one suggestion for improvement, it would be around their food and drinks packages. The various options—no food, half board, full board, all-inclusive, and premium all-inclusive—can be a bit confusing at first, especially when it comes to which restaurants are included, which require an additional charge, and how the drink entitlements vary between packages.

Lastly, a big thank you to Dhaadh, who took excellent care of us throughout our stay. He made our first trip to the Maldives truly special.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we would definitely recommend Furaveri to others, especially for a special occasion!

We went for a family trip to Furaveri for more then a week to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.
We booked the island wide all inclusive (IWAI) package in beach villas (101-103) - the villas were wonderful, equipped with everything you need and an open-top bathroom and with great location to the pool, to the bar and main restaurant. Our rooms were always clean and minibar was always full thanks to our room attendant, Kabir's work and special thanks him for the beautiful and memorable flower and sand installations he made for us in the evenings. It really is a real art what he does!
The island wide all inclusive service was more than enough for the whole family and I highly recommend it to everyone.
In the main restaurant Jaafaiy the food had a lot of variety and themes changed daily. We booked in for the Asian (Raiyvilla), mexican (Amigos) and Mediterran (Olives and Vines) restaurants which were brilliant and also included our IWAI package. The daily minibar in the rooms was impossible to empty and the drink offer in the restaurants and the bar was also plentiful and varied.
Among the many activities I would like to heartily recommend the private sandbank tour, which will remain an everlasting memory for our family.
The island has gorgous house reef where you can see beautiful tropical fishes, turtles, stingrays and eagle rays.
The all staff were amazing, they did their best to make us forget all our worries and troubles at home for this time with their kindness and eternal smiles. Special thanks to Chabin, Ashiko and Monir in the main restaurant, to Iqbal in Amigos (the mexican restaurant with a beautiful sunset view and extremely delicious food, especially the chimichanga!) and to Rahul in the bar. Also all the buggy drivers were great but our favourite was Ramesh from Nepal. But huge thanks for all the staff to made our stay forever memorable!

Last but not least, a huge thank you to our host,Hanzy , who took excellent care of us throughout our stay. He made our holiday truly special, with his hospitality and helpfulness. He was always available and solved everything.
It was a real relaxing holiday for the whole family, it truly was amazing. Really hope to return to this wonderful island one day...

We were here 5 years ago. It is beautiful. Unfortunately, a lot has changed here. Even normal things like a fresh coconut, pina colada or caipirinha now have to be paid for in full in an all-inclusive package.
Important for couples who want to vacation here. There are a lot of children here and it is therefore very loud.
There is no relaxation.
Even in our beach villa with pool, there are children screaming to the left and right. Also on the beach, pool, restaurant... It is just very loud because of children playing/screaming. You don't even have peace and quiet at the bar late in the evening.
So if you are looking for time for two, peace and relaxation, this is the wrong place. It is reminiscent of a cheap package holiday. Luckily, there are a few corners where you can enjoy some peace and quiet (restaurants where you have to pay). Unfortunately, the exclusivity of the hotel has dropped a lot.
But the staff, the food and the villas are absolutely top!!
Be careful, even in the all-inclusive package you have to pay extra service fees and taxes for everything. ( +26% )

The minibar was only refilled once in 3 days and you're not even allowed to take half-drunk drinks back to your room. Despite the all-inclusive package, you have to pay for it again when you order it in your room....

We spent 10 days on the island and it was amazing.. a truly memorable holiday.
Service: exceptional from every member of staff from gardeners who would smile and greet you every time you passed to all the restaurant and entrainment staff who were attentive and friendly. Our host Shaily organised all our restaurant bookings and made everything so easy - a special mention to Wilson who made our pool breakfast magical. The water sports guys were brilliant while out on trips and the buggy drivers were all so friendly and made us smile everyday!... cannot fault anything.
Restaurants: the buffet has everything you could ask for but we loved Rayivilla (Asian Fusion) so much so we spent 5 nights there. The setting by the sea, the lit up deck with live music and amazing food really made each evening feel special. Ocean Spice was also fantastic.
Beach and Reef: we fell in love with snorkelling and saw the most amazing fish of all colours - even saw a turtle, plenty of reef sharks and a stingray. We sat for hours under the palm trees enjoying the surroundings with plenty of dips in the warmest sea I’ve come across. Plenty of options from a more lively environment by the beach bar to secluded corners when you felt like you were on a deserted island.
I would recommend having the island wide all inclusive package which has so much variety for all food and drink.
The island is brimming with wildlife but also has a lot of mozzies so ensure you take repellent. They do also provide you with spray and cream in your rooms.
Room: The beach pool villa was stunning and massive! The bathroom and outdoor showers were brilliant along with spacious outside area which included a private pool and day beds with access directly into the beach.
There is a small shop to stock up on items like sun cream but they are expensive so ensure you take plenty, however, the toiletries in the rooms were great.
Overall we fell in love with the Maldives and this island!

Wonderful holiday!! The island is a decent size, takes about 20 mins to walk around, which we did each of our 8 days here, and it’s just so quiet. We stayed in a beach villa, No 511. Decent size villa, lovely big pool, 7m x 4.5m. Couple of sunbeds, table and chairs, outdoor and indoor showers at the back of the villa, so you can watch the fruit bats while showering. Weather was gorgeous or raining but still amazing whatever the weather. We like to relax so we didn’t do any water sports or trips, apart from snorkelling the local reef which was very good, loads of colourful fish and coral and baby sharks everywhere around the island. We ate at amigos (Mexican), raiyvilla (Asian) and jafaiiy (buffet) all really good, food was not a problem for my fussy teenagers, and really enjoyed by my wife and I.
The service on this island is outstanding!! Everyone friendly and smiling all the time, and it really adds that extra bit of special to your holiday. In the Udares bar (main bar) you can get any drink you wish, we were premium all inclusive and we didn’t struggle to get any drinks, all seemed available, but we stuck to beer and cocktails mainly which were really nice. We were served by Bala, Krishna, Harry, Rahul and Sai and all were amazing and would chat each day, whilst bringing drinks to our table as soon as we finished our last ones, they work very hard to make sure you have a good time. In the main restaurant jafaiiy we were served by Sasha and Chapo and both guys were amazing, bringing drinks whenever needed and clearing plates instantly as well as being friendly people you want to talk to. Our island host was Hanzy and he did a lot for us, booking restaurants, arranging different bits for us as well as the floating breakfast which was amazing, our room attendant ( I don’t have his name, I wrote it down but autocorrect changed it without me knowing, but he was room 511 attendant) did an amazing job with towel decorations, and the room was spotless after he cleaned.
Take mosquito repellent, we didn’t and paid the price, but even that didn’t dampen our spirits.
We would not hesitate to come back to Furaveri, it was a magical holiday!!!!

This was our second visit to Furaveri and once again we stayed in a beach villa (111). It was only a couple of minutes walk from the buffet restaurant and the bar.
Our visit got off to a disappointing start but that was no fault of Furaveri’s. Since we were last here in 2022 the All Inclusive meal plans had been changed from All Inclusive to All Inclusive Lite or Premium All Inclusive. Our UK travel agent BlueBay Travel didn’t provide any information about what it included (not a lot) and what it excluded (rose and sparkling wine, all spirits, cocktails and mocktails, or any wine if you were dining in either of the two a la carte restaurants. It was only when we met our friends that we realised how difficult shared mealtimes and bar times would be. To cut a long story short BlueBay travel were most unhelpful and said we could pay £1800+ to upgrade to Premium which we wouldn’t do. Furaveri were wonderful and after seeing the emails between us and BlueBay Travel they said they wanted us to enjoy our holiday with our friends and said that we could have sparkling wine with our meals including when we dined at the Mexican a la carte restaurant or the Asian a la carte restaurant. That was more than reasonable of them and we didn’t mind not having mocktails, cocktails and spirits included. So a huge thank you to Furaveri and a warning to anybody booking with BlueBay Travel in the UK to check the small print and ask them to provide accurate information to you.
Now on to the resort!

Pros
Our personal WhatsApp contact, Shaily, was super efficient at sorting out any queries or problems and checking that we were enjoying ourselves.

Our beach villa had a lovely back garden with beach access. As well as two sun beds, there was a super king sized mattress under a canopy, and a table and two chairs outside.

The outdoor bathroom had two showers (outside and inside,as well as a bathtub and two sinks.

The room had plenty of plug sockets (3pin Uk) and lots of shelves for storage as well as a wardrobe.

We had two different room attendants and Saddam from Bangladesh was excellent. He did a very thorough job of the cleaning and surprised us with his amazing artistic talents!

Evening meals could be eaten in the buffet restaurant or in the Mexican and Asian restaurants. There was no additional charge for the set meal menu in the two a la carte restaurants and no restriction to how often you ate in them. We sometimes found lunch and dinner choices in the buffet restaurant difficult. Although if you enjoy spicy food you have lots of choice. All of the waiters were excellent. Generally we preferred the food in the a la carte restaurants.

The buggy drivers were all very friendly and helpful.

Cons
For our second week the swimming pool was closed which was disappointing.

Answer from SHAWN B

Travel dates Oct 2024 : Our package included a 20% off discount for seaplane transfer. Total for two with resort fee for 9 nights was $732 + over weight fee $26. Flight $312 per person round trip = $624 plus over weight fee for luggage. 15kg max free. Check Trans Maldivian Airlines for current rates. I paid an additional $26 for being overweight. ~$3/kg $12 per night resort fee = $108 (9*$12).
