Detailed Reviews
This B&B is located in a fantastic village with some great sights and restaurants. Whilst the village could not be faulted, the same could not be said for this B&B. We had to walk past a dirty washing basket on the way to our room. There were lots of spiders webs in the room and overall it was not as clean as we would have expected. Upon our return to the room after a great meal in town, we were welcomed by the overwheming smell of sickness on the stair. A drunken member of the family then tried to get into our room at 2:00am in the morning!!! Would not recommend this accomodation to anyone.

My son and I spent our holidays at the Limousin region in September, 2007. We cosidered ourselves vey lucky for for finding a place to stay, such as the Maison Mabrouk. The "chambre d'hotes" is located right at the center of a privileged spot of the world called Rochechouart, next to the meteorite museum Paul Pellas. The experience of living in a 13th century, lovely, small town, even if for a short period of time, is unique. We would go for very long exploratory walks everyday, capturing in our memory, as much as we could of the beautiful, medieval French countryside. The chambre d'hotes was perfect,
when we returned from our long journey and found our spacious,
impecably clean room. It had large comfortable beds and english style bathrooms (with tub and shower), nicely decorated
with colorful curtains. The breakfast in the morning was great
and the owner was very pleasant and friendly.

Stayed two nights here in June while we were looking around the area for property to potentially buy. Lovely big, clean rooms in in interesting old house.
The lady who owns the place is perhaps a little eccentric but that's all part of the charm and the town that the house is situated in is just gorgeous. Lake with a beach nearby and plenty of barsand restaurants - in fac tthe whole area is lovely (which is why we want a house there)
The only criticism I would have is that it is a little difficult to find but worth it when you get there.
