Great property in terms of value for money, service, and location. This was my second stay in a year. The property offers spacious basic rooms, a few swimming pools to choose from, and a few nicely appointed bars/restaurants. It takes 5-8min on foot to the beach.
Shout out to GM Chak and his Team - thank you, guys, for making my stay a memorable one.

The rooms are very nice and well appointed. The rooms make good use of space with little shelves built into the wall, etc. This is nice when you’re staying in a room for a week and trying to keep clutter to a minimum as you can put keys etc in there. Bathroom is very nice with a tiled, separate shower. If you’ve stayed in a lot of Thai hotels you can appreciate it is not to have water on the bathroom floor from the shower.

The hotel has nice pools, including rooftop pools on may buildings.

Staff has all been very helpful. Smiling and courteous.

Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the beach at most.

The buffet breakfast is great with lots of American and Asian choices including an omelet chef and barista that makes your coffee fresh. The one issue with breakfast is that many of the buffet items like pancakes and potatoes come out hot but get cold sitting at the buffet table and there is no microwave to warm them. They need to put a little burner under each one.

We are staying here with my husband and we really enjoy this big amazing hotel!

Here are 7 buildings, several infinity pools, several regular pools, kids pool, breathtaking rooftops, bars, gyms, library and even Starbucks they have!! Amazing! I love it!

And the interior is very modern and it’s clean everywhere on the territory- all these details are delightful☺️

On the way to the hotel you will never expect something this big to be located here😍

The security is quite high - the atmosphere of the hotel is hidden from the streets’ noise with the great high fence.

Apart from hotel rooms they have wonderful luxury village with 2 floor villas with private pools in each!
Btw, there are small private pools in some rooms too))

We have the best villa😍 we love the service, the staff is so so friendly and always willing to fit your needs, helping you in everything!

Anyway, it’s a must visit hotel and we are even staying more than planned 😍

Guys, this is a terrible place. Our vacation is from 16.01 to 27.01 and at the time of writing the review, my family will have to spend another 5 days. Where to begin? Yes, I will be objective and upon check in we did an upgrade. And it was, as it turned out, a ray of light in the dark kingdom. The problems began on the very first day when the cleaning lady stole five thousand baht from my room. Yes, maybe someone will tell me that I am a fool that I left the money in sight, but why hasn’t this ever happened in any other respected hotel here in Phuket? And okay, the hotel would have gone forward, but after three days, supposedly an investigation, they just froze. On the second day, one hour before breakfast time, half of the meal, coffee, and juice suddenly ended. Half the trouble, we are not in a hurry, like the staff. In the following days, water suddenly shut off in the middle of the day. All the water. Including the one with which you can go to the toilet and shower. The rooms themselves do not even have a fork or knife. When I asked at the reception: is it possible to give us a knife? They replied that you can buy everything you need. Oh yes! Buy! In addition to 7/11, there are no sensible stores in the district, and for any purchase more complicated than batteries it is better to go to Laguna. The general manager at this hotel is so busy and important that they didn’t let me in, referring to extraordinary employment. The children's pool and children's room are regularly closed, despite the fact that we chose the hotel so that there was something to occupy our 5-year-old daughter. Add to this the beautiful view of the construction site, the stink of paint in the hull and the terrible internet. My internet with a SIM card is much faster than local Wi-Fi. Do you still want to come here? Come! I will be happy to show you a candy wrapper that lies in plain sight and which no one can remove from at least the 16th. The shuttle bus to the beach must be booked in advance. The staff speaks English very poorly and only nods in understanding, without actually doing anything. The only people I can praise from all the staff are the bartenders of the pool bar. These are, in my opinion, professionals who can make a good cocktail. In general, I am extremely disappointed and my vacation is ruined. No need to ride here. Better to the Lagoon.

Dear _H1235AO Thank you for your review to our hotel and we are well-received of all the comments given in which we will work on all the comment areas to improve our service to meet all guests’ expectations. Further to this please have us to clarify you the case that you have mentioned of money lost from your room in which we have investigated further and we have already reported back to you and your travel company as details:- -You have confirmed us that you have the safe deposit left open -Our maid get into the room at 16.30 hrs. in which you were in the room -Our maid has been left alone to clean the room for 20 minutes maximum to clean the room and during the cleaning time the door has been wide opened and you and family has returned to the room on and off every 5-10 minute each time -We have received the case report to us at 22.00 hrs. in which after the maid left, you and family have returned back to the room and your son has been in the room alone after returning for more than 1 hour after the maid left -Even before we have received the case report, we have all hotel staffs to be checked at the main entrance before entering the hotel and before leaving the hotel and we have found none of the maid and particularly the maid who has clean your room having much money of the value you have claimed the lost -We have check hotel CCTV and found that the maid kept working on cleaning your room and she has a walk in and out of the room during the cleaning time without any suspicious reaction -From the CCTV on that day, there were no other entering into your room unless 0yourself, your family and the maid during the cleaning time only and each floor we have 2 maids to clean the room and using share equipment includes maid trolley in which the only possibility that they can hire the money if they have taken it and we have found no reaction of suspicious on this as well and they are working flow are as normal as it shall be normally -From your report, we have been inform that you have left the safe deposit opened and when you come back the safe was lock so this can be investigated by report to the police to prove the fingerprint if the maid has done that but you have never reported the case to the police and the hotel is unable to do it on your behalf -After the case has been reported, our General Manager has a highly concerned of the case and investigate for you and also invite you to have a discussion which him in which we have approached you at your room and also send the letter to your room to inform of the meeting invitation but we have not had any response from you From the fact above, we hope that this would be clarified of the case you have reported and we would definitely work on all every area of the comments to make sure that all guest satisfaction will be met. We had the opportunity to stay at this resort a few weeks ago.
Our stay at the Mida Grande Resort already began in a really confusing way, with a (probably new) receptionist who could not focus solely on our check-in, but kept interrupting herself by talking to colleagues and serving other people, so far so good. The first communication problems started when my partner politely asked for a laundry service bag; he asks for it once and it is not brought to the room, he asks for it a second and a third time and still nothing,... after the fourth time we received it, but the funny thing is that once we put the clothes in the bag and after leaving the bag ready to take to the laundry on the bed, the bag stayed there and so nothing was washed (wasn't it visible enough?, haha). up to here we could still turn a blind eye but the most scandalous thing is that 4 nights out of 7 the room was not tidied and cleaned, so almost every night we but also other guests went to the reception to complain, every time the recption staff promised us that they would send someone to tidy up the room, but when we came back from dinner the room was still dirty, it should be specified that the rooms at 7pm were not ready yet!, this is because the hotel is so disorganized that it has only one cleaning lady per "block". Even those few times they cleaned the rooms they cleaned them in a very superficial way, for example our friends had to kill a cockroach that was present in the room and the next day when someone came to "clean" they had removed the cockroach but the stain and the "guts" of the cockroach were still present (is this the way to clean?).
The most obnoxious part was the fact that every day we had to complain and the staff made false promises to us, so we really felt we were being played. In addition even when we politely asked to speak with a manager from the office every time they would cheat the question without ever coming to a conclusion. it was really bad that we really had to get into nasty tones to be taken into consideration and we are definitely not people like that, also because we have worked in hotels and we know what it is like, however I am sorry but if the facility is understaffed it is not the guest's problem, sure one can be sympathetic, but up to a point, then it is up to the various managers to find solutions.
Evidently the facility has major management and communication problems that are blatantly visible to the guests.
I decided to give an extra star, solely because at the end of our stay Mr. Pond was the only competent person who had the courage to take matters into his own hands and actually talk to his superior, thus assigning us a reduction on our stay.

However, despite this kind gesture, everything else cannot be forgotten.

I hope that the various management managers will take the situation more seriously and find more qualified staff

This is a terrible place to stay. Avoid at all cost. Toilet next to the gym had been uncleaned for days and flooding too. It ran out of toilet paper, toilets had poop and urine in the toilets left unflushed cos it was not cleaned for days. You always find 10 people at the reception complaining about things. The water pool for kids is always shut, you have to ask at least 3-4 times to get it turned on daily which is ridiculous. Imagine you going to the kids pool after asking then going back to recep then an hour again repeat for 3 times. Such waste of time. So many people got sick of it and left before Christmas eve. Considering this is a new resort, its not going to last long if they continue like this. Staff are untrained, completely clueless about what to do even when given instructions, they tell you yes yes yes just to pan you off then you end up coming back to ask for the same thing again. Everyone here is sick of this which is why most people moved out. Then I saw a swiss guy who said he book his airport transfer standing at recep one morning asking where is the car as he paid 1100thb for it the last night. The receptionist just kept asking- “Where is your receipt” instead of doing something or book him a grab. Excuse me, that swiss guy is going to miss his flight and the recep guy at the counter there asking if he has a receipt. Completely no sense of urgency and a clue about what is important or what is at stake. Why these people bother being service staff and receptionist when they don’t even know how to get things done? My water heater got broken twice, we booked 2 rooms and both times it was not working over a span of 5 days. They had to send the electrician to fix it for over an hour. The room’s Jacuzzis dun have jets working. House keeping is always poor. Lost my son’s security blanket while changing sheets. Then toilets pipes always smelly causing the rooms to stink up. The cleaning is minimal in the rooms. The lizard poop is still there after 5 days of “cleaning” at the very same spot as if the people are blind. Why also bother being cleaning staff when you cannot see dirt? Beds are movable on wheels but the back of the beds are horribly dirty- caked with dust and dirt. Mind you, the beds are movable so you can clean. Continue like this, Mida resort, you will shut down.

A much needed family vacation, we stayed here for 1 week, this being on first overseas holidays in a very long time.
The 2 bedroom Pool Villa (we got upgraded) was very spacious and consisted of 2 levels. The ground level consisted of oversized living room space with a kitchen and a separate lounge area, which had direct access to the pool. There is also a full bathroom and an outside shower area just next to the private swimming pool. The 1st floor has 2 large bedrooms (the master has a king bed and the 2nd bedroom had 2 separate beds, perfect for our 2 boys) with their own ensuite bathrooms and in the master bedroom there is also the addition of an oversized Jacuzzi. The furniture and fixtures are top notch and all the amenities provided were simply amazing (refrigerator, cooktop, micro, washing machine, mini bar, kettle & coffee machine with Starbucks coffee pods). The bed was very soft, complete with quality linen, multiple plush pillows & doona. The block out curtains guaranteed a great night's sleep! There were also multiple conveniently located power points throughout the Villa. The ensuite bathroom was also very spacious, complete with a double vanity & conveniently located power point. The shower recess was large with rain shower head, excellent water pressure & temperature.
M restaurant is located close to the main entrance & does amazing buffet breakfast & dinner. Etoile, which is the bar located at the main swimming pool had a great vibe and the cocktails we had there were amazing. There are also 3 infinity pools.
A big shout out to the amazing staff at the property, everywhere you went you always see a smile on their face. The Housekeeping team kept our Villa spotless, the F&B team were always courteous and happy to help and the Front Desk team were very responsive to all request put to them. A big personal thank you to the GM, unfortunately we couldn’t catch up and express our gratitude for a truly memorable stay. Daniel & family.

It’s January 8 and we’re still at the resort for a couple of more days.
Resort is huge, grounds are gorgeous but it lacks detail in a lot of other places. The language barrier is huge even with reception. The restaurant staff speak very little English, I would be ok with this if it wasn’t a tourist area and if my food ordered came as I had asked.
Reception asked for a hold on a credit card or cash in case of damage, we had 3 rooms and 2 of us were asked for 3000 baht and one for 9000.
Shuttle driver Dee is amazing, also the one day I had a room cleaning lady named Pin (she spoke better English then anyone here including reception) she was great and deserves a better paying job because of her English.
This place is ok but I think management needs to look better into the smaller details and fix them.
Potential is here for this place to be amazing but it just feels like no one cares.

The overall awe of the hotel is one of homely-ness and style. The room offered a great view of the Bang Tao beach and the staff makes you feel right at home the moment you step into the lobby to start your vacation with their warm smiles and gentle greetings. Not to be missed are the infinity pools scattered on all the roof tops which offered great lap swimming with spectacular view from the hill top of the property. 5* facilities and services at Mida Grande at a fraction of what other big hotel chain charge. Awesome resort in quiet part of Surin but only 5 min walk from shops, 20 min walk to beach but the 3 main pools on site are amazing. We also had a few really delicious meals at the restaurant M-Eatery, braised pork belly was the best. Restaurant staff were so attentive and efficient, especially Ni and Smile who also took care of our baby for as long as they could so that we could enjoy a warm meal! Would definitely stay again!
