Really good choice to stay here. Room was a good size, toiletries were good quality (nothing worse than shampoo and conditioner that make your hair tough and matted,) pillows were comfy. Good wifi signal, hairdryers in the rooms. Plenty of parking and quiet location in the town. Owners were helpful and friendly. Do get up for breakfast (my brother didn't...

Thank you for your perfectly charming review. It is particularly welcoming to hear your opinions about our toiletries. We source them from Italy. All our jams, chutneys and marmalade are home made. Thanks to that must go to my late grandmother and father as they were both excellent marmalade makers.

From the moment you step foot in their hotel, you get warmly welcomed by the very flamboyant owners who remain ever caring and helpful for the entirety of your stay. Rooms have varying degrees of maintenance but are all clean. My room, Hook, was exceptionally renovated fitted with a digital shower and clean furnishing. The breakfast was lovely, using high...

Spent 2 nights at this gem of a hotel. So unexpected in Gainsborough. Lovely decor, great food- ate dinner both nights, comfortable bedrooms with everything ( incl. chocolate snack) that you might want. I would go out of my way to stay here.

The building is lovely. Bedroom was large and charming. Service was always good and the food was very good. Only downside was the building was quite cold and struggled to warm up inside given the very cold conditions outside. Certainly worth staying at.

Don't let the lack of stars put you off. More like a 3 or 4 star hotel. Booked last minute on reviews alone as plans in Gainsborough changed suddenly. Owners courteous and friendly. Room warm and welcoming. Nice furniture and decorations. Needed to be able to get out at night to do work in Gainsborough and lady owner showed me...

A friend, who is a local, booked us into this delightful hotel. I can see why he uses it so much. Where to begin ... The hotel manager is perhaps the best I have ever encountered, and that is reflected throughout the whole experience with the hotel. She is warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, unflappable, and nothing seemed to be too much...

Stopped here back in May whilst on business. Friendly and helpful staff with clean and tidy rooms. Good choice of real ales in bottles at the bar which was a nice touch. For evening meal I was impressed with the food which was beautifully presented and came from an imaginative menu, a refreshing change from the standard fayre served up...

With the popularity of craft ales/real ales we do our best to offer an interesting and concise range. The chef/owner goes to great lengths to offer tempting and creative dishes. Thank you for acknowledging and appreciating our efforts.

This is a small hotel in a delightful building, an old school. The owners could not have done more to make our stay enjoyable, nothing was too much trouble. When we got back on the Sunday evening they laid on a cold supper for six at short notice. It was excellent. The rooms are everything you could wish for, also...
