Had a lovely 2 night visit with friends to visit Lincoln Market. We couldn't have had a nicer time. The hotel was just right, somewhere nice to meet, have drinks before and after doing what we had planned and a fabulous night sleep. The beds were like sleeping on marshmallow, fridge in the room with fresh milk and plenty of tea and coffee. Breakfast was really, really nice too - full breakfast if you fancy but also lots of other choices too, between us we tried 8 over the 2 mornings and all were cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Definitely a lovely hotel with the hosts attention to detail second to none. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

I stayed at the Hickman Hill for 1 night on a business trip. I had originally booked the Bill Confrey room but was upgraded to the Hickman on arrival. The room was absolutely stunning, every detail taken care of with every amenity you could need. I would have been happy with either room but this was a very pleasant surprise after such a long drive. The food was amazing, I'm a very fussy eater with certain intolerance's etc and the chef suggested something that would suit me and it was cooked to perfection, nothing was too much trouble. The staff and the hotel owner are all very welcoming and clearly love what they do. I cannot recommend this place enough if you want a break away or stopping over night for business then the Hickman Hill is perfect.

A well cared for, comfortable hotel. First class room with excellent bathroom, well cooked breakfast, quiet location, pretty gardens, car parking, a small, family run hotel. Would recommend to anyone seeking a comfortable stay in this area.

We were made to feel very welcome by Dot - lovely spacious room overlooking the gardens - and an excellent dinner. We felt very 'safe' as Dot and her staff were very COVID aware and expected all guests to behave likewise. We chose Gainsborough as a stop over traveling south - and there is some interesting history and sites.
