We've been using this hotel for about five years now when we come to Gloucester on business. We've not had too many complaints over those years but have noticed of late that the level of maintenance has nose dived. It has changed name three times to our knowledge and currently comes up as Amerisuites on my card statement. I think...

Booked a few days before my stay, wasn't expecting much for £40 bur the facilities were fine. Some other reviews state the hotel needs a refurb...the building itself and communal areas are fine, my room had slight paint marks but was fine! Will no doubt use again

On arrival all looked good and the ladies on reception were fine, entering the bedroom again things did not seem too bad but then it all went down hill.# The bed was amazingly creaky, the extension lead to the kettle arced badly and then I tried the shower that got luke warm at best. In the morning I reported the...

Check in was good, condition inside hotel was tired and needs some renovations. The room was a weird red colour, with peeling paint in the bathroom. Kettle had to be put on bedside cabinet to use a socket and could not get it under the sink tap to fill it. Room size small but acceptable for a nights stay and...

for the price we paid this hotel was fine. comfy bed (desperately needed fitted sheets) shower was very small, couldn't swing a dead cat in there, as it went I had left my dead cat indoors and there was just about enough room to wash ones self. The corridor stunk of fag smoke and one morning a big mean looking...

I won't write a massive essay - I'll just say this: Tiny room, small creaky bed every time you moved, rubbish shower, bright lights shining in through the curtains, dirty, holes in walls, ceiling paint peeling in a MASSIVE way in bathroom, I could go on...

Negatives: small room, kettle had to plug in on a dangling extension, bathroom was lacking somewhere to put things. Positives: cheap, quiet, friendly staff, amazing shower unit although the cubicle was small, unique red spongey furniture, big flat TV on the wall, nice clean bedding and towels, modern décor. I would use this hotel again for a cheap stopover, it...

The room was clean and totally adequate. The price was very reasonable and the room was smallish but comfortable. This is not a luxury hotel, but as a place to spend the night when en route to London or the south coast it is fine.

Disclaimer: these are my personal opinions and should be taken as subjective. The room was good, all amenities needed, decoration is slightly gaudy, red leather dresser?? There seems to be a patch above the shower on the ceiling where the paint has peeled off, due to dampness probably, but how much would it take to repaint it? If you turn...
