Aim was to stay 3 nights - I lasted 1 and checked out. First time in 3-4 years I've left somewhere early. I was on business and things that let this place down for me personally were: 1. The room smell was unpleasant - old/musty 2. Wifi advertised but impossible for me to work in room as signal was so... More

Easy access from main road, not far from Gloucester. Good sized double room.(we had room 4)(other family members had rooms 2&3 & said they were similar but not identical) Super easy to use & regulate walk in shower with shampoo & gel in situ in dispensers. Good sized thick bath towels !!! Yay ! Comfy bed. Plenty of electrical sockets... More

We arrived on Tuesday 25th October, to have a relaxing break . We were accompanied by our dog, who was welcomed with open arms. We were a little early as 4pm was stated as book in time, however, it wasn't a problem. We went straight to our allocated room and were very pleased. Beautiful decor and warm, homely and spotlessly... More

We stayed one night to attend a party at the Village Hall close by. Location is good for Gloucester/Newent. This large barn conversion has 10 rooms and plenty of parking. Our room was a good size and well equipped with quality furnishings, tall mirrors and several plug points ...always a plus point ! Bed looked nice but sadly not that... More

Stayed two nights in this well presented, clean and quiet barn conversion. Recommended for visits to Gloucester and the surrounding area. Plenty of decent pubs nearby for food. All amenities well maintained and clean.

We selected this place to stay as it is dog friendly and it did not disappoint. The room was lovely with a soft but very comfortable bed. Good quality furniture and furnishings. There was free wifi in the room. Staff were very friendly and we were able to pick up our key early. Breakfast was good with a good range... More

We arrived at Barn Lodge after a day travelling and then visiting Gloucester quays/docks. Linda gave us a warm welcome and took us to our rooms. She was able to advise local eateries to suit all budgets. On our return we walked around the lakes and took in the beautiful surroundings of Barn Lodge, meeting Linda, Julian and dog enroute.... Dark Barn Lodge was an average place to stay. We had high hopes from the previous reviews, but were dissapointed. The lady in charge kept us and another couple waiting about 15 minutes when we arrived, and while she was coldly polite, she wasn't apologetic or particularly friendly. She asked if we wanted breakfast, stating that she couldn't possibly adjust... More

Easy to find and we received a friendly welcome. Room was a good size and nice and clean. Bathroom was small and functional. Bed covers were clean and smelt fresh. The bed however was hard and we could feel the springs. It may be helpful if a mattress topper was used or mattress replaced to get a better nights sleep.... More
