I booked for 3 nights at this lovely place and booked another night, and another. Just great! Sandy and Mark make it feel like a home a bit. Samurai is a great place to relax and to discover the beautifull bays of Port Stephens. Just ask at the reception, they are very very friendly and helpfull! Good beds, fridge in...

We only stayed here for one night, but wow what a peaceful and beautiful place it was! We arrived late and still got a really professional and friendly service! The room was really spacious and clean! Bed really comfy and warm. The only thing from giving this amazing place a 5 star is sharing a bathroom but we do realize...

I was here for only one night while on a road trip. It's a solid hostel, but nothing extraordinary - the location was tranquil; the outdoor kitchen / dining area was functional; it was good to have a mini-fridge in the dorm room; and the shared bath was serviceable.

It was warm but raining when we visited, so our lovely forest retreat was a double edge sword. If it's rainy don't forget your insect spray, seriously! There were mosquito coils and matches available from the kitchen and we seem to keep the pests at bay as we enjoyed a quiet rainy afternoon on our verandah with wine, cheese and...

Zipped out of Sydney for the weekend and had a great stay at the beach bungalows. We were arriving late but Sandy was on hand to check us with a welcoming smile. She knew the area well and we took up her recommendation for brunch, as well as going for a walk along the beaches. Bungalow was nothing fancy, but...

I was looking for some rest and relaxation. I found it here. My room was private(number 7), the facilities were excellent and I felt a million miles from anywhere. It is close enough to beaches and coastal walks to connect with nature. I saw about a dozen dolphins. I enjoyed cooking my dinner in the shared kitchen and chatting with...

We hired the entire YHA for our end of season trip. It was perfect for what we needed. People had their own cabins to chill out in, there were groups hanging out in the pool, kitchen and den! Mark and Sandy were so friendly in all their correspondence and were quick to respond. For what we needed the setting was...

This hostel is situated in bush land where you may be lucky to see wild koalas walking around. The hostel was built by the owners and you can see the love and passion that they have for the hostel. It has an outdoor bush kitchen which is unique and a great area to meet other guests. It has a nice...

Had a lovely stay here for 4 nights. Had a private ensuite room, in a bungalow although dorms are also available. It's set in a lush little oasis so is very peaceful and serene. Bush kitchen too which gets visited by possums and kookaburras (so watch your food!). Has a swimming pool and games/TV room. Not like your usual YHA....

Wow, what an amazing place! I have never stayed at a place were the staff have been this friendly and helpful. And to make matters even better, the location is gorgeous. You will feel so relaxed everytime you walk outside your room. I stayed for four nights and I wished I could have stayed longer! Everyone who stayed there were...
