The hotel has an interesting history. We had the room at the top of the hotel overlooking the grounds and the lake. It was very favourably priced and we made good use of the amenities. Walton Hall is my favourite Mercure hotel in the midlands but Bowden Hall certainly comes a close second and its so close to all that...

Beautiful hotel in stunning grounds overlooking the water. The staff are amazing, so friendly and professional. Our room was immaculately clean and very comfortable. Breakfast and evening meal very much enjoyed. A big thank you to Gavin & Rachel for making our stay so special.

Located in a beautiful part of the country this is a fabulous hotel . Excellent service far beyond expectations and I would live to return for a leisure break. Reztaurant and loinge have old world luxury with contempory elegance. And there were two wonderful ducks waddling around to amuse Book with confidence

Stayed here for one night for a surprise get away. The hotels ground floor has been refurbished and looks really nice, however as the bedrooms haven't yet they are very dated and need completely gutting. We also had an evening meal which wasn't great, the starter of tortillas looked like they'd simply been toured out of an ah and microwaved,...

Before I go into the disappointing aspects of this hotel, I will start by saying just how good the staff were. Very friendly, helpful and attentive. I couldn't fault the service at all. Now for the bad bits. How this Hotel is 4 star I will never know. The decor is extremely dated and the room, whilst clean, was not...

Bowden Hall Hotel is set in acres of Parkland and the sweeping driveway to the Main Building takes you back in time.I had an enjoyable 1 night stay the staff were attentive and friendly. The room was really spacious with a large very comfortable double bed . You could have held a party for 40 people easily. Binoculars needed to...

After we eventually found the hotel after a few wrong turns down country lanes (M5 roadworks and diversions). We stayed for 1 night in room 435. On arrival we were immediately made to feel welcome, checkin was quick and efficient, Accor Gold status was noted and welcome drink offered (some accor hotels you have to ask for this or remind...

We stayed two nights in room 334: almost two rooms really, a sort of entrance lobby, with en-suite off, which means the "clutter" - cases etc - is kept out of the bedroom, and the bedroom itself. This has a huge double bed, TV and desk, plus a coffee table and easy-chairs by the window. The room was warm: no...

Had an enjoyable 4 night stay. Our only negative comment is the lack of a lift in a four story hotel. Lots of stairs involved as we were on the top floor. Staff did take our cases up and bring them down on request. Food was better than some other Mercure hotels we have used, unfortunate all appear to have...

Stayed for work usually book the IBIS but this was cheaper for once . It's okay nothing to get excited over but if you get a decent rate why not. Nice ice cream at dinner which was a bonus and biscuits in the room
