After a 5 mile trek the pub was a welcome sight and offered a great lunch even though a little pricey. The sandwiches are a good buy though as they're big and tasty especially with a side of chunky chips.
Lovely log fires burned in...More
Another wonderful weekend... Traditional country pub with great food, log fires and lovely atmosphere. Welcoming friendly staff. ... room lovely and with bath. Dog friendly ....This is our 6th visit... Lovely walks.... pity about the great British weather. Just Perfect.
16 friends met for our annual Christmas gathering. We stayed overnight. The venue was excellent. The meal was well presented and the staff were really attententive. The manageress was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
Revisited for short birthday break as couple + dog. Comfortable room, excellent food and service with varied menu. Great bar area and restaurant with open fires. Lovely outdoor seating area for summer visits. Well located for walks and sightseeing. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely Sunday roast here, recommended by a friend. Lovely building with lots of character. The staff were very welcoming. Lovely log fire to add to the cosy, charming ambience. Well worth trying again.
