Stayed 20th Feb to 22nd in En-Suite Double room. Room was clean and tidy with a decent shower always a bonus. We ate in the main building both nights. The food was good but a little pricier than we are used to. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Breakfasts were very good with a reasonable choice, could just of done...

Fabulous staff. Great food. Clean comfortable accomodation in fabulous surroundings. What more can you ask for. We stayed overnight. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff went the extra mile when some of our party were held up getting to breakfast. Would definately reccomend.

A first class overnight stay, very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much bother for them. The rooms were clean and inviting, comfy bed and a decent shower that does more than dribble like some places I've stayed in, Highly recommended.

Turned up for a midweek evening meal. Nice decor, and warm on a cold winters night. Good selection on menu, although maybe a bit overpriced. Several personal dislikes though: Food served in a wooden box, sorry but that is just wrong, pretentious and unhygienic. Food served in multiple ceramic dishes on your plate, i.e pie (rather a casserole with a...

Visited today for Sunday lunch, we were expecting the food to be delicious, however we were disappointed. The soup was bland, as was the veg with the main, the dessert was nothing special either, was expecting amazing things but did not deliver-the staff were friendly though! Would not visit again for food as it was far from a cheap meal,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Simply put, we love food. Not just for what it is, but for the experience that accompanies it. Homely surroundings, great company and conversation, attentive waiters, who become friends and of course fine wines from around the world. After a evening of gastro food delights, gourmet pies and laughter infront of the open fire retire to our courtyard of boutique individually designed rooms and drift off, to wake up to the sounds, sights and smells of the idyllic gloucestershire countryside. Followed of course by a hearty breakfast and maybe a stroll up the majestic May Hill ... more   less
