We were very impressed with this relaxed and pleasant hotel. Although it did not have some of the kind of amenities or services one would find in 3 or 4-star hotels, it is perfect for anyone seeking a good holiday hotel. The room was very clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and the setting rather beautiful, including a small but...

I stayed here a few nights whilst hiking in the Cabo de Gata national park. The hotel is located slightly up a hill, about 5 minutes walk from the main street in San Jose. The rooms are tiered up a hillside, meaning that the views are quite nice from the balconies/terraces. The hotel is a fine base for exploring the...

The Hostel has a very nice clean pool. The Hostal is situated on a hillside with a steep climb from the beach and steep steps up to the rooms, maybe not suitable for the less fit visitors. The breakfast is basic, no eggs. The rooms are clean and comfortable with AC. The restaurant had just started up and the food...

This place is exactly what I had hoped for: it provided a basic & clean room and services at a good price. This is a hostal so there was no in-room safe/hair-drier, wifi was only available in the lobby, and breakfast was decent although it is always sad to see pastries and rolls wrapped in plastic. Our room (& I...

Maybe I am being a bit ungenerous, but the problem with this hotel is the unfriendly staff. I think its the manager or owner who is just and angry person. The rooms are correct, just, the beds are hard and cheap the decor is questionable, the breakfast is... cheap, buffet style, when it would be so much better if there...

San Jose is an covalent resort is you want a great selection of fish restaurants, a warm sea and great beach. It is relaxed and friendly. Any hotel is going to seem fine in this town. El Dorado does not disappoint; the rooms are large, the breakfast is fine and the pool area is lovely. The one slight drawback is...

Lovely hotel with family atmosphere and friendly staff, always making the best to help us. On request changed our room for better one - with large terrace and in the highest floor. The view at the sea and the whole city was just amazing. We also loved the breakfast with wide selection of food and chill music in the background....

The location gives great view of the town and the sea. My room had a large terrace. The hotel is built on the hillside in a way that probably gives all of the rooms a terrace with a view. The room was good sized and comfortable. The "fit and finish" wasn't great. I had the to struggle with the door...

Booked this place for 4 nights based on the reviews and wasn't disappointed. Basic decor in the room but well equipped with a decent shower, air con, fridge and super view. Lovely continental breakfast. The only reason I've marked it down slightly is the bed was rather hard and the double bed had one long pillow along the width of...

Excellent value for money hostal. We stayed in room 11, with the same views over the town as from the restaurant, down over the town to the port. A good place to watch the sun rise! The room was comfortable, clean and spacious, with excellent air-con and the bonus of a fridge. Good buffet breakfast taken in the restaurant, where...
