Cannot fault Travelodge, I started looking to save money as other hotels were getting way to expensive. I was working in Tyneside so booked in at Travelodge Gateshead and I'm please with the room and bathroom and at £45 even with the £3 for wifi I am very happy and so is my boss when it comes to claiming expenses....

Stayed here one Friday for a metro shopping trip ,really friendly reception room clean comfy and warm , lots of late door banging and noisy guests but that's not the hotels fault as they have security plenty of eating places in walking distance and a 20% voucher off food at frankie and bennys

The girls and I stayed here on 19th/20th November. The staff were very nice and the rooms were exceptionally clean, comfy beds and spotless bathroom. The only thing was we had our doors open as we were across the corridor from each other. We weren't noisy at all but had been asked to close them :(

Staff were all really friendly and always happy to help. We paid for dial a drink which took the money and never showed up, when we rang they laughed at us down the phone so security tried to help. Great location 15 walk from metro centre, 10 min drive from newcastle centre. Loads of food places outside the hotel

Hotel was very good value for money, perfect location for a night of eating out and a couple of drinks and visiting metro as just along the road. Very clean, spacious and staff were extremely welcoming and helpful.

Just got back from yet another great stay at this hotel, the staff are always very friendly and helpful and do not treat you like a customer but more of a friend as they make sure you feel really welcome. I have been coming to this hotel for a few years now and to be honest I would always stay...

This was a late booking and an amazing price was offered, with cancellation up to lunchtime on the same day! Good facilities nearby and a great location for shopping and sightseeing. Hotel basic but clean, staff friendly and welcoming-all in all a great basic hotel which does what it says on the tin! Would defo recommend and would visit again!!

Very uncomfortable beds and excessive noise from Stag/Hen groups. They should put a warning that at weekends they accept such bookings, especially when booking a family room. I certainly wouldn't stay at this Travelodge again. 😟
