What a hidden treasure this hotel is. From the moment you walk through the doors you are greeted by the landlady and the experience is more than a welcome to the hotel. We had a drink in the bar before going to the room, and...More
I've just stayed at the hotel for 2 nights as I was shooting a wedding nearby. After travelling almost 5 hours on trains and arriving in a new town on my own I was feeling a little more anxious than usual but Becky who was...More
From the first moment of our stay to the last, the staff (while nice enough) put in minimal effort - two words that unfortunately summarise everything the hotel had to offer.

Stopped here to grab some breakfast while waiting for a friend.

Bombay Sapphire is about 2 miles away. Taxis are not the easiest thing to sort but both the 76 and 86 Hampshire Stagecoach bus runs from Whitchurch to Basingstoke and stop right outside the distillery so that would be your best bet. Alternatively on a nice day you could take the Mill Trail walk and walk to and from Whitchurch to the Distillery in Laverstoke. It would be a bit muddy this time of year in places but is only 2 to 3 miles and a level walk.
