Our second stay at this wonderful chateau with its welcoming, friendly and helpful owners. Set in large, quiet grounds with lake, woods and wildlife. Lovely rooms with unique architecture and furnishings, we stayed in the tower suite this time with superb views. Don't expect a polished finish -- but that is part of the charm and also the value for...

My wife and I stayed at this lovely chateau for two nights in the Tower suite. The Chateau itself has a fascinating history (Google Françoise de Montmorency-Fosseux) and the owners could not have been more friendly. As one reviewer remarked already, this Chateau is certainly not in top shape, and could benefit from a serious refitting (we noticed some peeling...

We were looking for somewhere close to Paris, that we could access by public transport, for a little getaway in the countryside. This was perfection. In terms of the location - the Chateau is on stunning grounds. We had such a nice time wandering around the forest (we even saw deer!) - it's so peaceful and lush. We took the...

My husband and I were travelling with my sister and her dog to the south west of France and chose to stay at the chateau as a one night stopover. Whilst the directions to the chateau seemed clear it can be easy to miss the entrance. On arrival we were met by Shirley and her husband and taken to our...

Chateau Fosseuse is a real hidden gem in the French countryside just North of Paris (which is easily accessible by train). This was our third stay here, and it has become an essential part of our French holiday. Very convenient for travelling longer distances to or from the South of France, given that it is just a couple of hours...

Just returned from another wonderful stay at Chateau Fosseuse. The Marros are delightful hosts and are passionate about their home. They are always happy to suggest local attractions and places of interest. We have stayed there many times and it's always a delight. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated and we will certainly be going back again.

The Chateau is an amazing sight from the drive, with a warm welcome from Shirley. The interior is full of antquities and interesting artifacts and paintings, and has the feel of a home rather than a cold hotel. The rooms are delightful, original hexagonal tiles in some, with comfortable beds and views over the gardens. The Tower Suite is perfect...
